Posted Wednesday October 23, 2013, About: Weeden on a short leash
Jason Campbell stands a better chance of evading the KC rush than Weedon and he has a higher upside. When he's on, Campbell is very good. Start Campbell and put the leash back in the cupboard.

Yeah... that seals it. There really is nothing worth writing about.
Posted Thursday January 17, 2013, About: GM ready to shake up the Steelers
Hey T&R, can you get a new photo of Tomlin? This one's a little stale...
Posted Tuesday December 04, 2012, About: Report: Jets owner wants McElroy
I'd like to write "Woody should shut up and leave the football decisions to the football people" but the "football people" with the Jests are such a bunch of morons (in my humble opinion) that he doesn't have that option. What nobody wants to believe, but what is true, is that Tim Tebow gives the Jests the best chance to win, week in and week out. The fact that Woody, Rexy and the rest refuse to admit that speaks to their own prejudices than to any great understanding of football.
Posted Friday November 30, 2012, About: Report: Big Ben won't play
Thank goodness common sense has prevailed. I think Ben's long-term health is much more important than one game... or even one season for the Steelers.

Atlantan? Really? Is that the word?
Posted Monday November 26, 2012, About: Kaepernick makes Harbaugh look like a smart man
Are we really suggesting that Kaepernick played better in this game than Smith would have played? Harbaugh's decision is only smart if Kaepernick is better than Smith, not if Kaepernick simply plays decently. Kaepernick's performance against NO was decent, nothing better. And Smith would likely have played better. All Harbaugh has done is re-open the wounds SF inflicted on Smith in its pursuit of Peyton Manning and created an unnecessary distraction for a team that should be focusing on winning its conference and the Super Bowl. When the 'Niners lose a close game with Kaepernick behind centre, the "what ifs" will start. And when Kaepernick eventually falters and they have to turn back to Smith, who knows how all this crap is going to affect Smith's performance and his focus?

Let Smith rest until his concussion is completely healed, then throw him back in. You don't bench the league's number three passer because of an injury.
Posted Tuesday November 20, 2012, About: Steelers confirm rib fractures for Leftwich
Sounds like the Steelers should be working out a couple of free agent offensive linemen as well, now that their top two qbs are out with broken ribs and assorted sack-related ailments.
Posted Wednesday November 14, 2012, About: Reid says Vick not ruled out for Week 11
Oh please, Andy. You've got a struggling quarterback with a concussion and a young quarterback ready to play. Do the smart thing: sit Vick, start Foles. For their sakes and the sake of the team.
Posted Friday November 09, 2012, About: Harvin's chances don't look good
Ugh... And I just picked Minny in my football pool. Looks like we'll have to ride AP to the win.
Posted Monday November 05, 2012, About: Vikes Ponder a problem on their hands
What? I thought all the experts considered Wilson too short to play in the NFL? Is it possible he might actually belong on the field with all the taller, more-quarterbackish quarterbacks in the league? Now that's something to Ponder.
Posted Friday November 02, 2012, About: Dolphins hoping Tannehill will be ready
Not sure what the rush is. Miami has a perfectly capable backup in Matt Moore and the Colts are truly beatable. Why rush Tannehill back? Seems like the risk to his long term health isn't worth it at this point.
Posted Thursday November 01, 2012, About: Warren Moon mentoring Russell Wilson
As someone who had the honour of seeing Warren Moon play in his prime in the CFL, I can tell you he's one of the greatest of all time. A fabulous player and a classy individual. Russell Wilson seems to be following in his footsteps in every way and can only get better with Moon's tutelage.
Posted Thursday November 01, 2012, About: Why the Packers must trade for Steven Jackson
If the offensive line is that bad at opening holes, Stephen Jackson isn't going to help. Not that GB's doing too badly without a run game.
Posted Wednesday October 31, 2012, About: Jaguars making a play for Tebow
"This is to sell tickets only. They don't really think they can win with him. "

Oh, I think if he's used right, he'll win some ball games for them. Say what you want about Tebow, he's still a winner.
Posted Tuesday October 30, 2012, About: Cassel will start Thursday
Now watch Cassel go out and light it up. Sitting is good motivation.
Posted Monday October 29, 2012, About: Vick foresees and supports QB change in Philly
Why not? Andy Reid's blamed his DC and fired him for it. Now blame Vick. (okay, maybe Vick's tendency to turn the ball over has in fact played a key role in Philly's struggles). Maybe it's time to replace the big guy with headset, the walrus moustache and the blaming complex instead.
Posted Sunday October 28, 2012, About: Rex Ryan on having Dustin Keller back and healthy
"I'm so happy" said coach Ryan, "I could cry..."
Posted Saturday October 27, 2012, About: Rob Ryan: Rex Ryan is full of it
It worries that he's more worried about people thinking he might have cried once than about how crappy his team is.
Posted Thursday October 25, 2012, About: Small changes, big differences for Philly D?
I dunno, do you think Babin means to say the secondary needs to cover receivers better?
