That is the point I was getting at. These guys are only going to be paid as much as people will pay to watch them. If there is no money to pay them they won't be able to be paid as much.

I agree but as a chargers fan no a NFL fan i particular it is rediculas.. these guys get paid millions a year to play about 16 games + training camp ... if they think that they are that special as to name there own price they are wrong ... something is only as valuable as you are willing to pay for it and that goes for players to.
