ESPN sucks! I hate them. I'm glad they no longer have Champions League rights....that way we can actually watch all the games.
ESPN purchase some of the rights to La Liga but I don't know why they did. They don't show the games. ****, yesterday they were supposed to air a live Liga match and they opted for tennis instead.
Why the bother acquiring rights to soccer is beyond me. Leave football to FSC, GolTV, hell even ABC.

Good point, but with Madrid the coach really has no say. It's the President and the Sporting Director. So if Flo wants him back, he'll get him back. There's also rumor that Roberto Carlos may come back as well....again, rumors.

MLS currently plays during College and NFL. They also play during basketball and baseball. So what?! I say move to the international calendar like everyone else..

True, getting rid of Del Bosque and Makele was the biggest mistake ever. However, because of that mistake I think the "Floren Team" as they are calling it now will be different by getting a stronger central midfield with Kaka, perhaps Ribery, and keeping Lass and Diarra. Guti and GAgo I don't think will go anywhere and they both have their good games.

Um, I seem to recall under Perez' first stint at President from 2000 - 2006 The Galacticos Era v.1 RMadrid won 2 Liga Cups, 2 Supercopas de Espanya, 2 Champions Leagues, 1 Intercontinental Cup, and 1 UEFA SuperCup.

Yeah big money players don't help a club win trophies...right....

Excellent post. I read somewhere that going into this transfer window Real Madrid has something in the neighborhood of $525 Million to make for transfers. Even despite the last two disastrous years under Calderon, the Club still made tons of money.
