These teams that sign players long term contracts into their late thirties and early forties deserve the hardships that come with it. Whether or not it includes performance decline or injuries. Older athletes get hurt more and their production declines. I do not feel sorry for any club and nobody posting here is walking away from a 10 million dollar contracts. I especially do not feel sorry for the Yankees and especially what they paid A-Rod.

Why would anyone feel sorry for any of these teams paying these long term contracts? One of the problems signing players to long term contracts that last into their late thirties and early forties is these players lose a step and have a greater chance to get hurt. These teams spend this money with short sited goals in mind and deserve to see the issues that happen at the back end of these contracts. ESPECIALLY teams like the Yankees for all the A-Rod comments posted here.
