Probably have Kitna finish the year then draft a quarterback. Try get value for Romo so he can be traded. Get rid off a couple of more players and go young so that they don't poison the rookies and 2nd year players who are contributing.
The CBS crew noted that Coach Smith replaced Collins with Hanie before the end of the 3rd quarter which would not have allowed any of the other Bear quarterbacks come into the game in case Hanie would have come down with injury.
UBP, I agree that the Cowboys have a lot of needs that need to be addressed that 1 draft can't cover. So the Cowboys need to stockpile draft picks for 1 draft and use next years draft along with a few free agents. Definitely with a new GM because JJ will squander the draft picks.
I agree! Both teams looked very tough this past weekend, but something has to give. This one has no clear cut favorite. Both are strong on both sides of ball and the game will be decided by Cutler. Can he deliver td passes or will he throw int. if he is pressured.
Covered in pt. 1 and the Cowboys track record during the lower rounds has been dismal to put it mildly. No Eric Williams or Larry Allen in a long time.
I agree that these guys are getting old, but the Cowboys only have 7 picks this year and its hardly enough to get younger and better.

UBP, you make a great point. By having the coaches and players could also produce a new breed of homers and haters, because they can play the role of the fans. A lot of people believe that being in large markets contributes to the effect of homes and haters, because teams from small markets don't get enough national exposure.
I also believe that by having a lot of players selected to the Pro Bowl from 1 team with only 1 playoff victory to show for it is ridiculous. UBP, we're both big Dallas Cowboys fans as anybody out there, but I feel that this plays negatively to the psyche to the current Cowboys team. I believe that individual success should correlate with team success. The only players from this year's squad that should be in the Pro Bowl is McBriar and Witten. And Witten had his share of drops during the 1st half of the season.

Very interesting to see five Cowboys selected to the Pro Bowl in such a down season for the club, and even more surprising that all five would be voted as starters. It's not to say any of them weren't deserving. Still, the Cowboys offensive line has been cr...iticized all year, really, and yet Andre Gurode makes his fifth-straight All-Star game, and Jay Ratliff will go to his third in a row despite dramatically reduced production. It's worth noting that no Cowboys, not even Jason Witten, DeMarcus Ware or Mat McBriar, were selected as starters by the fans, who make up a third of the voting block. Instead, all five Cowboys were pushed over the top by the votes of coaches and fellow NFC players, which also share a third of the power each.Fan voting begins shortly after the season begins, while players and coaches didn't vote until last week. When fan voting concluded, starting in place of the Cowboys offensive players who ultimately claimed the top spots were Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez ...See More via twitterfeed
A couple of weeks ago the Dallas "D" knocked Vick around during the 1st half and then let up in the second half. I would like to see more of Scandrick and McCann than Jenkins and Newman. Not only to see what they can do, but they will probably play a lot better than the starters.
UnBiasedPerspective, last week there were some reports out of the Dallas media that this was one of the reasons that Choice wasn't seeing more action. JJ on his radio show said that Choice hadn't gotten more carries or opportunities because Choice had made zero impact on special teams.
Mallet does a great job of standing in the pocket, good footwork and has a quick release. On the negative side is that he will try to force the ball. I only saw the 1st half of the Alabama game and he played great without an int. Probably the knock on him should be that Petrino is his coach and not that he transferred from Michigan.
I would really want for Case to do better than all of them. There is no way to hide the bias, because I used to coach with his father 17 years ago. Case was born to play football. He'll probably be 3rd rounder or higher, but he will be the steal of the draft. He'll be Drew Brees type quarterback. About same height, arm strength, and football smarts.
Most of the regional coverage here in El Paso comes from the Big 12, SEC, and ESPN's. That's why I haven't seen much of Luck, but I've compared the stats.
