Rumor has Tuberville and Fulmer coveting the Cardinals job. I don't see Louisville as a good fit for Tubs. I think Tubby should sit out one more year to wait on the A&M job. Tubs is great at rebuilding fallen programs. He could do big things with all the resources the Aggies have.

This guy is a friggin' buffoon. Say what you will about Fulmer, but he never made an ass of himself. And, he... at least on a direct, personal level, always represented UT with a fair amount of class.

Kiffin wouldn't know 'class' if it came up and kicked him in the nuts!

Long story short about the firing of Franklin, following the Vandy game, Franklin went nuts. He called Kodi Burns up in front of the team and told him he wasn't worth a (expletive). Tuberville called Franklin into his office and told him he can't talk to the players like that. So, Franklin went off, started angrily talking down to Tubs, and got in his face and told him he could go (expletive) himself. At that point, Tubs told him to get his things together and to get off the property.
Basically, the pressure got to Franklin and he had a breakdown.

Look, I'm not really thrilled with Tuberville either. This is the third time he's come close to losing his job over offensive coordinator issues. That's getting old. Plus the way he floats his name out for other jobs every offseason REALLY pisses me off.
But, he's who we got. He's built a damn strong program, and while ignoring recruiting services and rankings, he's used his own recruiting system to build our talent level up very high. With good, smart kids, too. And he runs as clean a program as you can expect in the SEC.
We are VERY close to being VERY good. If he can get the offense's shi--- stuff together, and find a QB worth a damn to run it, we'll be top 10- top 15 material next year.

I say give him the chance to right the ship.

Wrong. Terry Bowden walked out on Auburn in the middle of the season like a coward when he was told that the board of trustees had lost faith in him. He was also told that he could turn that around with a strong finish to the season. But he quit anyway. And about him having one bad season... not quite. The program was regressing. He thought he was too good to go out and recruit, so he sent his assistants out and he stayed home. The talent level at Auburn got worse & worse. And the players he did bring in were idiot thugs who got in trouble and embarrassed the university. Just like his daddy has always done at FSU.
Do you remember how bad it was Tuberville's first couple of years? That's because the cupboard was bare. Very little talent there.
Listen, I won't keep trying to convince you with these arguments. Instead, I'll use a VERY convincing one...
Why do you think Terry Bowden hasn't recieved so much as a sniff at a head coaching job in a decade? And, him putting his own name out there for the WVU job and a few others the past few years don't count.
I'm no fan of Lowder's past behavior. But, he's seemed to have backed off these days. He's not among the trustees trying to run Tubs off. That's another group, headed up by the Yellawood guy.

Phillip Marshal, who knows his stuff when it comes to Auburn and particularly Tubs, has been indicating that it has been decided that Tommy will be back next year with the opportunity to turn things around. Apparently, Clemson was flirting with the idea of bringing Tub on and helping Auburn out with the 6 mil buyout, but those talks fell through.

Chris Todd has been running that system since high school. Should know the ins and outs. But, by all means, if Kodi grasps the offense as well, and shows that he can make the right reads, his athleticism would be awesome to have under center.
Above all else, a quarterback's #1 job is NOT TO LOSE THE FOOTBALL GAME.
Whichever one can make the right decisions, stick him out there.

I have a counter proposal. The trial should be held in Boston! And, for everyone's convenience in making identification easier, Rahja should be required to wear his old Yankees gear to court everyday! Either that, or... with the trial being in Boston, and all, the trial should have a Revolutionary war theme. All of the participants would be assigned a key historical figure from that chapter in American history that they would be required to attend all court proceedings dressed up as... prosecutor could be Washington. The judge, assuming a male judge hears the case, could portray Massachusetts icon, Paul Revere... riding from his chambers to take the bench every day on a horse! Rusty Harden would be a natural to play Lord Cornwallis. Or, if he insisted on being assigned an American role, he could learn to sow & be given the coveted role of Betsy Ross! In between his turns to argue the defense's case, he could be given a wooden rocking chair, and sit behind the defense table and sow! Finally, Roger Clemens would be far too large to be Franklin. And, I think the exposure, while in front of congress, of his... ummm, *possibly* less than elite intelligence & education level would make it almost blasphemous for him to be assigned the role of Jefferson. So, who could The Rocket be assigned? Hmmm... I don't know... BENEDICT ARNOLD, maybe!

Yep. I think Beantown would serve as a much better venue than somewhere in TX!!
