What have the Phillies won? We gave you the division last year more than you won it. And then what did you do? Lost quickly and were out of the playoffs. Ryan Howard can K 225 times this year and yet the Mets suck? J.Roll never hit more than 9 homers in a season before you moved into that joke of a ballpark posing as a baseball stadium. You have one good player in Utley and an adequate player in Shane Beefarino. Philly blows in every sport they have...when was the last time you won anything...anything at all. Don't worry Philthy fans will be chanting Eagles by mid-July. And Ryan Howard will have eaten half of his teamates. Fat and stupid...bring it you cheesesteak eating surrender monkees.

If the Mets sweep Colorado what will it mean? It will have been a winning road trip. Hey, if the Giants can beat them...Heres to a 6-4 road trip.

To all the fans who make stupid comments like "Latino Mets", "Meticans", Los Metsies, etc...you are not only ignorant but also lending credence to Willie's delusions of racists in the stands. Just STFU and go back down in your Mom's basement and blog about the new GTA game.

The Mets actually have more white players on their team than most of the teams in baseball on their MLB roster...Maine, Church, Wright, Schneider, Showenweiss, Wise, Wagner, Carp, Clark, Pelfrey, Smith and yeah, Minaya got these guys. So stop being retarded. There are Latin and black players on every team in the league...if you were as good as them then maybe you could be on the team too. But you aren't...

Seriously though, how stupid is Willie? The fans are racist? In NYC and the surrounding area? The Wilpons are trying to frame him via SNY??? This is one of the most liberal areas in the country. People were happy Willie got the job. The Wilpons and Mets fans have championed racial equality with tributes to Jackie Robinson and the simple fact that the Mets made Randolph, an African American, baseball manager of the Mets. People were delighted that he got the job, from the media to the fans. Personally, I would have rather had Mookie as my manager but that's just this Mets fans opinion. Willie is delusional...People don't hate him because of his color. They dislike him because he decides to drop guys like Reuben Gotay, a 25 year old with upside, to save over the hill pop up artists like Marlon Anderson & Damien Easley. They are sick of him because he never admitted that this particular unit performed poorly and continues to do so. And if Willie tells us as fans that Marlon Anderson is seeing the ball well and that's why he plays over Endy, I'm going to commit seppuku (sp.?).Even if Marlon hits an occasional dinger, he jogs after every ball that is in the air, on the ground our out at sea in the outfield. He's a liability. And don't tell us that we just aren't clicking now but look out when we do...I don't want to hear it anymore. Send Heilman to the minors (he has options), drop Easley and Anderson, bring up Carp and Martinez, charge Endy and Jose $150 every time they hit a fly ball, bench Delgado, Wright, Castro, Beltran and company the next time they don't hustle out of the box, run on everyone despite which supposed superstar is at the plate, trade for an actual set up man, fight for your team and the fans and get tossed from some games like good managers (i.e. Bobby Cox, Sweet Lou, Frank Robinson, Bobby Valentine...hmmm Bobby Valentine), don't make excuses anymore, admit the fans don't only have a right to boo but are actually right to boo as the team has been miserably inconsistent for over a year now. The Wilpons gave Willie an opportunity. They spent boatloads of money. Willie didn't turn the team around, they did. If anything he has squandered whatever goodwill they created by being ornery with the media, aloof from the fans, and spitting in the Wilpons face with his stupidly careless remarks. Show some respect for the opportunity you were given. Be a man not a whiny victim.

David Wright is right...this team is too good to be a .500 baseball team. Someone should tell Willie. He doesn't seem to realize that they aren't in first place and that they have never been the "best" team in baseball since he's been here.

Maybe she said that the best thing about twenty eight year olds is that there is twenty of them?

I'm just kidding by the way...that is disgusting.

Obviously Roger is of the mindset that if there is grass on the field, play ball. If not, scrimmage.

Once again, just kidding...poor Roger, maybe it's time to pull a McGwire and just disappear into the gutter from wherest thou came.

Hey Truth, John Morton is an assistant coack at Saint Peters...Andrew Gaze was old enough for the retirement home after years of playing pro basketball in Australia before he even attended SHU. Gotta give it to PJ C., he was a creative recruiter.

Don't get me started on Adam Smith.
Posted Tuesday March 11, 2008, About: Seton Hall, Rutgers coaches go off
I think this guy Politi is clearly an RU fan. He fails to mention that SHU lost Paul Gause this year to an ACL, that next year they return All Rookie Big East player Jeremy Hazzell, the previous year's rookie of the year in Paul Harvey, will finally be able to play red shirt forward transfer Robert Mitchell (previously of Duquesne & rookie of the year in the A-10 his freshman year), that they have the one of the top HS guards in the country next year in Jordan Theodore signed, Glover will have his certification to play after coming from Prep school, John Garci will be back as a senior, as well as Larry Davis (sophmore), Mike Davis (Freshman), Okosun (senior), etc. SHU was better than RU this year and they'll be better next year too. Nutter probably wouldn't even be playing at this point if Gause wasn't hurt. So I'm not sure where he got that Nutter is one of their most reliable players. He's good and they'll miss him sometimes but not his TO's and freakishly erratic shooting...they'll miss Brian Laing but what team wouldn't miss a player who was second in the Big East in scoring and a first team All Big East selection this year. It's just a stupid thing to say.
And finally, the ref that Bobby ripped deserved it. He should have called techs and traveling both ways. I'm not the only one who had problems with this particular ref.
This from Big East dean of disicipline John Paquette:
Paquette said almost every time the league looks into matters such as this one, "we've handled it internally." However, Paquette pointed out that the league did publicly reprimand Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun when Calhoun ripped the same referee after a win over Northeastern back in early December.
At the time, Calhoun called Rutecki "incompetent" and "a bad official" after the referee issued Calhoun a technical foul for being outside of the coach's box. Since that was his second technical of the game, Calhoun was automatically ejected.
I'm sorry but maybe this ref is bad...or does it seem like Jim Calhoun, perhaps the best coach in the Big East over the last two decades is an idiot too.
Bobby G made three NCAA tournaments with Manhattan w/less resources than he has now. He's improving the team...they won three Big East games last year and hadn't won a road game in two years prior to this one. I'm not sure what Politi is thinking but maybe he should look at Fred Hill's resume. What has he done? I'll tell you. He hasn't won crap and Politi is stuck living with that as long as he is coach. Nice guy but nice guys finish last and that is where RU & Fred Hill finished this year.
Good luck with that...we'll see you in the Big East tournament tomorrow. Uh, errr no we will not because RU finished last in the conference. See you next year when everyone gets in...

I disagree...it hasn't worked.

One title in 136 years for every professional sports team in Georgia isn't what I would call working...I know how Braves fans like to lord 14 straight division titles over everyone but if a GM and manager got so close to the ultimate goal year in and year out they wouldn't be lauded...they'd get fired.

See 2000 as an example. I guess winning the division made you feel better that year when the Mets got to the World Series...if you say it did then you are either lying to yourself or you aren't much of a fan because that kind of failure would have killed just about any New York fan.

Once again, keep bringing up the past, 14 straight divison titles...but then forget the recent past (no division title last year) and the present (currently third place this year) and you will probably end up sorely disappointed.

Tex is a good player...good. He isn't Fred McGriff. Or do you think the Crime Dog would have 13 homers in August batting 300 with like 50 Rbi's playing in the band box at Arlington? Seriously? You got a good player not Babe Ruth.

Dude actually doesn't have anything to do w/cowboys...it is a negative term used to describe a city slicker. A cowboy isn't a dude...a dude is someone who can't ride a horse. Hence dude ranches are a place where city slickers learn to ride horses. **** a favor and don't try to explain things you know nothing about...
Posted Monday July 30, 2007, About: Teixeira headed to the Braves
Atlanta has had only one world championship team in 136 seasons of big-league baseball, football, basketball and hockey...

At the end of this year the Mets will have three...but we already have two which is more than you have w/all your garbage sports teams combined...in their miserably embarassing history of loser professional sports teams you have managed only one true title!!!.

Argue with that, you slack jawed yokels.
Posted Monday July 30, 2007, About: Teixeira headed to the Braves
I guess I was wrong...you have a better pitching staff & bullpen? Wickman and your bullpen haven't blown the most saves this year & last year??? You won last year and are in first place this year? Our centerfielder is batting .216? Our 3,4,&5 (6,7,8) starters aren't virtually unknown & unproven commodities? We have made less errors and allowed less unearned runs playing better defense? Our third basemen spends sixty games on the DL every year? Our SS has been on like ten teams because he is just that good? Our first basemen is a Hall of Famer?

I'm getting confused...soooo sorry...

I apologize...I keep forgetting that the Mets aren't in first place and they haven't been there since mid April...I keep forgetting that we are in third place...I keep forgetting that we were picked to be in first place by most experts...Wait am I confusing the Mets with the Braves again?

Sorry I keep forgetting that the Braves have played so much better than the Mets this year which has earned them the right to talk smack...because obviously the Braves have the better record and better team this year.

I have only one more thing to say...

Scoreboard you toothless redneck John Rocker wannabe's

Pedro was never expected back ever...If you did/could read, you would have realized that Omar, Willie and everyone in the organization has been stating that August (no specific date) was the hopeful target. But due to the relative seriousness of rotator cuff surgery (no pitcher has ever come back withing a year of that type of surgery) no one could predict when he or any other human being would come back...

I think Hudson and Smoltz are a great one two punch...maybe the best in baseball let along the NL...

But Jojo Reyes? Who else do you have?

Your bullpen is probably the worst in the NL...how many teams have you ever seen win with that type of bullpen. I'm not saying this to be nasty but I think you could have gotten by with your offense...I would have gone after a different Texas Ranger. Ever hear of Eric Gagne? I mean Texeira is a good player but is he good enough to take the sting out of another Bob Wickman blown save(s)...

PS - Mota,Heilman, Feliciano, Wagner...Moylan,Yates,Soriano,Wickman? I don't think you'll have to look very hard to see who has the better bullpen...this year or last. Past, Present, Future...

PSS - Say hi to Larry for me and tell Andruw to start choking up...he's killing my fantasy baseball team!
