I love Pac and I think he is one of the all-time greats. But I honestly don't want to see him fight Mosley or Berto. I just want to see him fight Mayweather and then retire. He's proven everything he needs to do except for shutting up the Pretty Boy.

Excellent point. I remember when I first started and wondered why after 1 argument I was down 10 votes. Then I looked at whoever I was against and their "record" and could see the writing on the wall. I'm not the kind of person to let something like this get to me but other people are wired differently.
At the same time I know that it does build up confidence for people by seeing their record get better but the detrimental part of this is people losing very winnable TD's based on who the other person is supposed to be.
We also have to keep in mind that just because someone is a "veteran" and have a good record doesn't mean that they know more about sports or can give a better argument. It just means that they started using this specific website at an earlier stage.

In reference to the "newbs" issue, I think it has to be put into perspective. This is an internet site, so new people will come to use this site and probably have no idea about the rules and unofficial issues of TD's. I would guess that one of the issues is people who get disrespected, lose arguments because of favoritism or other non-sports related issues. Then you have people new to this site who will put up an argument and have something like "Wilt Chamberlain is better than Kwame Brown". Some "veteran will come along, snatch the argument and say "well Wilt is dead, so Kwame Brown would destroy his dead corpse!".
Or you have some people fresh to the site or maybe not as well known who will go up against a so called vet and after the first argument the vet is already up b 20 votes. Its small things like this that make people come back to the site and say "f*%k these **** and their site" and just come with the stupid stuff.
I like to use the site but alot of the problems on here are a result of the cliquishness of some of the voters and the mob like mentality that happens when a favorite goes into a TD.

It's good to hear people keep the real world in perspective and show their human side on FN. Sometimes we get so caught up in our debates and arguments that we forget that there's a real human being on the receiving side. Stay strong DJ and may God make you stronger thru these times.
