Posted Wednesday April 16, 2014, About: NBA playoff 1st rd predictions
Wait......now this is something strange. Yesterday on Sports Illustrated, they had an article which said that all of the seeds in the playoff were set and then they showed the matchups. I realized that there were games for Wednesday, but I figured they had no impact on the matchups. Now I see today they do.

Thank you SI

They need a legit power forward or center. I believe they have some cap money and should go after Detroit's Monroe.
Posted Saturday April 12, 2014, About: Sting signs with WWE!!!! :))))))
To me, Sting simply doesn't work in WWE. I always felt his style and persona were more in line with WCW. His time in the WWE seemed to be forced and lacking in authenticity. As someone mentioned, I can see him being used more for commentary on the WCW and the mid-south and some of the older circuits. With the WWE Universe, I think we'll see a lot more of the older guys come on board because there's a big difference between running a 3 event per week company and a 24hr industry.
Anyone who's not dead, strung out or still involved can probably get signed up. Heck, I think even the Ultimate Warrior had signed on prior to his death.

The key here is that Toronto has a quite easy path if they can get the 3rd seed. They'll play either Charlotte or Washington, two teams with close to no experience in the playoffs. Even if they move down to the 4th, they'll play Brooklyn who in theory have experienced players but they haven't shown up this season. If Brooklyn wants to win, they'll have to get decent minutes from Plumlee, Livingston, Thorton and Blatche. All guys with little to no experience.

I can see them having a similar season to Golden State last year and making some noise.

I think it means a lot for two reasons: One, the Nets brought those guys in to specifically challenge the Miami Heat. Two, the guys who are producing are a younger and less heralded guys like Plumlee, Thorton, Livingston and Blatche.
If the Nets are getting more production from the latter group, rather than Garnett, Pierce, Kirilenko and Williams, how realistic is it for them to beat the Miami Heat in a 7 game series.

You do realize they are tied with the Bulls for the 3rd seed, and only a few percentage points in front of Brooklyn for the 5th. So it's not as if they are head and shoulders above the rest of the pack.

Why were comments #1 and #23 deleted? Is it because the user left the group because it can't be because of what was said.

What's up with right not putting up an argument?

From a business standpoint, it would be a bad decision. She stands no chance of making the team and this is a business based on high stakes competition. It would be a joke.

But that's the point. Mark Cuban may actually do it. And if he does, he'd be a fool. But there is definitely a chance that out of all the owners in the NBA he'd be the one to draft her, just because.

I don't think it's against league rules to draft a woman. That would be legal discrimination.

True but this is still just the regular season. Duncan is pushing it very hard now and you have to wonder will he have much left in late April, early May.

Not a problem, with the lack of activity on the site now, it's totally good to make things more active.
I wanted to add the video of Sugar Ray Leonard getting destroyed by Camacho but didn't have time to find the link on how to post a youtube video. It was horrible to watch.
Gretzky wasn't a good example and I was merely just referring to his only have 9 goals in his final season. However, his assists and contribution to the team means I shouldn't have included him on this list. Actually, I wanted to say Gordie Howe, but maybe he also doesn't fit here. It was good to see him out there.
Posted Friday March 22, 2013, About: Which Rocky movie was the most realistic?
It was a great, great movie. Those elements are what made it a great movie. The fact that there was very little chance it could happen in real life. I'm not suggesting that it was impossible, but what's more likely: A trainer and boxer getting into a bar fight or a club fighter getting a chance to fight for the title?
Posted Thursday March 21, 2013, About: Which Rocky movie was the most realistic?
Douglass had fought for a title previously and was a rated challenger. The reason for the odds is because Tyson was considered unbeatable.
Posted Thursday March 21, 2013, About: Which Rocky movie was the most realistic?
As I mentioned in the TD, Braddock was a former contender and fought for the title. Rocky was as Mickey quoted "a bum".
Posted Wednesday March 20, 2013, About: Which Rocky movie was the most realistic?
Agreed, it probably was the worst, but as I noted, definitely more realistic.
Posted Monday March 11, 2013, About: Are the Nuggets serious contenders in the West?
No one on the current Clippers has averaged 25pts a game and none of the Spurs will come close to this mark at their age.
