I think you have to include OU in the list. The school has won NCAA titles since the Bud Wilkerson era and hasn't let up under Big Game Bob.

And I agree that FSU and THE U. of Florida don't belong on the list at this point. However, from a long-term historical perspective, African-Americans have figured prominently in college football only since the 1970-1980s. And now that African-Americans dominate the game, the Flarida schools will be big in the future, IMHO, given the large AA population here in-state.
Posted Friday December 27, 2013, About: Who Should Be the Next Texas Coach?
Every year recently THE U. of Texas has one of the top recruiting classes, composed almost entirely of in-state boys, yet it fails to break the Top 10 at season end. Possible reasons:

1) Being a Four/Five star recruiting don't mean diddly.
2) High school football in Texas is overrated.
3) Mac B. doesn't have good taste in assistant coaches.

"its one of the worst jobs in the coaching industry."

Well, Urbane M. is a great coach, and I think they will only get better and better. But agree about the piddly little schedule.

1/3 correct on that one. Better than your usual odds.

It will be sweeter.

I'm guessing it's going to be time to burn some awe (au).

I was looking forward to a title game against the Buxeyes and a throttling of Ohio bee-hind.

But I guess warmed-over SEC dessert will suffice.

The Buckeyes deserve a round of applause for their second-place finish in the Big Ten Chumpionship game today.

This was their first battle royal against a Top 20 team this season, and they played admirably, losing by only ten points.

The Alamo Bowl awaits...

Posted Monday December 02, 2013, About: Who should play for the national title?
If it were next yr my four teams would be:
1. FSU
2. OSU
3. Missouri
4. Bama

THE OSU ('please always put the definitive article first, otherwise Woody Daze will haunt you and punch you in the face before retiriing)
FSU: The QB is a rapist.
Missouri/Bama: We are all tired of seeing the 'Gawd Almighty' SEC strutting its feathers.

My solution: Cancel the game this year.

I'd wait until after the Spartan game before doing your chest-pumping.

THE OSU had one of the weakest schedules in the country. But you did make a statement on Saturday against Michigan:

Beating a 7-5 team by a point always evokes fear in the mind of men.
Posted Saturday November 30, 2013, About: Seminoles rule Florida!
As much as I have loved this team over the decades...

...this quarterback-rape coverup situation is worrisome.

So I couldn't get too hot-and-bothered happy about the game this year.

But thanks anyway for the BUMP!
Posted Saturday November 30, 2013, About: Who Gon' Stop US?
THE OSU made a statement today:

1. Beat a 7-5 team by ONE POINT!
2. Got into a nationally televised brawl (ghost of Wooden(y) Daze in the house?)

If you want people to take you seriously, you have to play some decent non-conference opponents next year.

YES. Good summation of the contemporary BOOL SHEET scene and hope for its demise.
Posted Saturday November 23, 2013, About: Late Season OOC Scheduling = Poll Manipulation?
Nice OP. And you can throw in FSU and THE OSU for dodging tough OOC schedules too.

NCAA football gets more pathetic by the season.

And the scheduling excuse is total BOOL-shyytei.

After all, these powerhouses seemingly forced to play weaklings could just play each other.

No?
Posted Tuesday November 19, 2013, About: Week 13, back to more drama again.
Nice to see Alabama and Florida State playing pushovers this week.

What's going on here? Are they trying to catch up with Ohio State in the weak-kneed dept.

At least Baylor is playing a real game. I hope the poll voters keep that in mind after the weekend.
