I WILL TAKE DELONTE WEST ANY DAY, He's the kind of player you need on a championship team believe it or not, and I was at Game 7 Celtics vs. Cavs and I saw 2 players on the Cavs have a gleam in their eye like they wanted to adavance one was James (Not really but you guys would all argue "**** he had one of the best playoff games ever BLAH BLAH" and the other was Delonte West. He may not be worth the cash but I will sure as hell take him in a heart beat

Woa woa woa, Artest is a past defensive player of the eyar award true, but his defensive play has been going down the past few years, but he hasn't been on a team where he can concentrate on defense. I still dont think he is the kind of defensive player you want, definetley wont help you beat the Celtics cause now KG is running free unless you actually trust the 6-7 guy on KG, or you can of course put him on Paul Pierce who I believe is just a better overall player and the first thing an uneducated fan will say to that is "Paul Pierce dos not play defense" which cannot be more untrue, in fact the NBA scouts from around the league believed the Paul Pierce should have made the all-star team by his defense alone back in January. Artest is a bump and run defender, its ok until you are against a stronger SF and you're forced to sag off and let him run...he never was an OUTSTANDING rebounder. Fairly young. He has missed 138 games in the last four seasons, suspensions and injuries addd greatly to this number lol. But realistically 63 games last 3 seasons, and he's not a hot shooter in the playoffs, thats what you need another one. The Lamar Odom the 6-10 forward who misses less games, play pretty good d, rebounds the ball, does not miss too many shots (not that he takes the same shots as Artest) they're days apart in age, they both play the same amount of minutes per game (seperated by .2) I just don't see Artest benefiting the Lakers like some of the other trades have to other teams this season

They didn't suspend him because they cannot afford at this point in the season, even if it was for 1 game. Of course there are othe reasons but thats is my primary.

I will agree with all of you when you say Doc Rivers may have done nothing, but Tom Thibodeau, our associate head coach has. he is in charge of the defense and he has made us one of the ebst in the leauge. Yes yes yes we have Kevin Garnett, but offensive minded players such as Paul Pierce, and some balanced players have concentrated on their defense and have played astonishingly well.

Sorry but it is the greatest rivalry in the U.S. It did not start only 4 years ago lol. It's the best because of fights, because of coverage, and everything that makes up the rivalry. I lived in Japan for many years, and I can tell you 100% you never heard about Duke and UNC, Packers, Vickings, you heard about Redsox Yankees and that was also before Matsui. It gets world wide coverage. Now some soccer rivalries in Europe like PSG and Marseille are more intense than the Red sox Yankees rivalry, but roma fan's prospective rather than a team's.
