To answer the initial question, Phil Mickelson can qualify as a public figure even though he is a private actor. Even a private person, unlike the state actors Deep Creek cites, can become a public figure. If he is found to be a public figure, then he likely must demonstrate that the defendant acted with actual malice. Actual malice is essentially one of the highest burdens of proof that a civil plaintiff must bear to prove a claim entitling him to damages.

The defense is starting to play a little more solid, granted it Jacksonville was not a serious test. Looked to me that Ben just hit a rough spot. The line kept him upright. He was just miss firing. That can be corrected and let's face it they have played down to inferior teams in the past few years. The litmus test is coming soon so we should have a much better read.

Yes, but unfortunately we reinforced that thought process in 2006 and 2007 fairly convincingly...Over under on pass attempts in the next game. Funny, I am fairly certain that the front office of the Steelers is the one that has put the Steelers in three Super Bowls in the 2000s...Also, certain that ownership holds more Super Bowls than any other franchise...Finally, I don't recall us moving our team from Cleveland...I think the Steelers will be alright.
