"Sucks" is kind of a harsh word... Though I do agree that he definitely should not have been a top pick and a 7 footer averaging 4 rebounds is a bit pathetic...
This guy was a backup PG in his prime so why is this news worthy? MJ your legacy as an owner ranks amongst the Donald Sterlings of this world. Sell the team or hire a knowledgeable proxy.
Terminology issues... Assists are not what make a gunner in basket ball... He has a good 3point %age (career) and is not shy to take it when he's open... That makes him a gunner...
Don't get me wrong he is an awful component of the ownership team (much like Dolan is on the Knicks) but nepotism is a very strange word to use in this case...
Watched the last game against Philly, that PG from Argentina is not too bad of a backup. A lot of people were knocking on him for being unproven / old /etc - to be honest I also had my doubts - but it seems like he can hold his own against 2nd units.
He probably won't play at a high level till he's 40 but at 34 he's still a top 5 SG - that is very impressive (as much as its impressive that Steve Nash had the numbers he had last year at 37).
Did not watch the video but according to the article the clock started late. I'd also be suspect of some one being able to do the following in a 7th of a second:
1) Dip the ball below his waist. 2) Leave your feet 3) Get to the top of your release
Even the most explosive of players would not be able to take a normal jumper in .7 of a second.
If the last spot of the playoffs ends up being decided by tie breakers and the Cavs / Bucks are fighting for a number 8 spot that could be huge...
I assume by bigs we mean Centers / PFs? There are more elite active bigs who have their roots in Europe than in the States... Gasol Bro's / Dirk top the list whilst States side we're looking at Howard / Bynum... Granted, it usually takes the Europeans longer to get their footing in the league...
..... Move on!!!
Sincerly,
Basketball fan tired of crap being blown out of proportion by Media Outlets...
