Forums would be much more organized, you could actually find old topics, most are free, you don't need any random person coming into your circle of friends (have you guys ever actually met in person?, not that it matters I'm just curious) the list of reasons why you guys should just set up your own thing goes on and on. Here it's 20 comments a page, you can never find where that conversation about going to a yankees game went, because you have no idea what rumor you were under when you brought it up, or the rumor got deleted, and the "moderators" don't exist.
And Big Chris, generally winning 2/3 games is a won series, no two ways around it. The yankees won the series get over yourself.
Even money says he's on the Mets before the all star break. They need a RF who can actually play defense and hit, and they'd be willing to take his contract definitely. The only question is do the Jays like anyone in the Mets farm system enough to seal the deal.
Oh and FWIW, I do sorta side with DT Knows best though he's being remarkably candid about it, I find it hard to see how you guys can really be being productive in life, and accomplishing meaningful things, when you spend so long on sportillustrateds comments sections... Ignore me if you want, I'm just voicing my opinion

I can't wait for the other 103 names to come out so the Red Sox who were shielded by the Mitchell Report can finally get theirs. This has gone on long enough, pretending the Red Sox, with players such as Varitek Papi Nixon Manny and Pedro CLEARLY being on steroids just from looking at them, and people pretending the Red Sox were the class of the majors through the steroids era. Since A-Rod's name was released, I want justice, and for the Red Sox to have a nice big asterisk next to their first WS in 86 years *20/25 players were reported to have tested positive for illegal performance enhancing drugs in 2003 who went on to win the 2004 World Series.
Oh well I guess we'll just have to get used to the new YS. I used to think certain ballparks had a mistique about them that could never be taken away, but with the new ballpark in the bronx, this untouchable status must not really exist.
Oh and Zambrano you are an idiot. You like the features in new stadiums, request a trade, but we aren't tearing down a national monument to baseball because you want a thinkpad in your locker and a 60" HDTV to play The Show on.
You also mentioned Jeter would make a terrible CF. That's just untrue. As others have said, Jeter's first step, key at ss, won't matter nearly as much in CF. Jeter still has above average speed for a CF, a cannon for an arm, and he could easily learn the position. It would make more sense for him to play left, of course, but he is the captain, and if he says he's playing SS or CF, that's where he's going.
And Jake Peavy=Kevin Brown. There is no way I'd want to see him in a yankees uni over hughes who last year was the second youngest player in the majors aside from justin upton and who until his last start hadn't allowed a run in ST this year.
I'll bet the red sox are gonna go get Peavy though, they are five years behind the yankees in how to GM a team 101. This year they got old injury prone decent in the NL and/or ineffective pitchers, hmm I wonder if the yankees have tried that before (pavano wright brown randy livian etc.) get ready sox fans you're in for some painful years...
Seems like there is one team in the East that just isn't keeping up with the other two. It's completely illogical to say the Red Sox will be a better team than the yankees when they barely were last year. But looking at the rest of your post I guess you don't care about logic...
If we got McLouth and signed Teixeira our lineup would be
Damon
Jeter
Nady
A-Rod
Teixeira
Matsui
McLouth
Posada
Cano
Cano hitting in the ninth spot=scary lineup 1-9...
We need to get Teixeira at 1B, probably more than we need C.C. pitching. Bringing back Giambi, regardless of cost, would be the worst thing that could possibly happen. He isn't even a .250 hitter anymore!
It would be does not.
And why would he, or anyone in the NBA, have passion playing against some random dude? In fact, if he exhibited passion, he needs to take a step back and chill the FK out.
Pointless story. Why would James even waste his time putting out an effort in this mock competition?
The fact is James could beat any player in the NBA in a one on one game (he was as good as or better than the best player in every category on the Redeem team, look it up). This is just another meaningless story.
Williams and Owens would be the best recieving duo in the league, blowing the colts and Bengals out of the water
Texiera is coming to the bronx. Come on. Giamboids is gone after this year, we have no real star firstbaseman, and we can afford him with what was the Santana Fund.
That offense would trump detroit's. A-Rod Jeter Cano Texiera, and then ?(abreu won't get re-signed, I don't think) Melky-Damon in the outfield, with Po behind the plate would terrorize pitchers around the AL.
