Posted Tuesday June 17, 2008, About: Is Garnett a franchise player?
Does Artest even know what "franchise player" means? Ever since he stirred it up in Indiana, he is a constant journeyman. Besides game 5, KG has played sick D, and nobody boosts his team up better than KG.
Posted Tuesday June 17, 2008, About: Report: Vikes interested in WR Rogers
Doesnt hurt to give him a shot. I wish him best of luck and hope his collarbone can take a couple more hits this time around.
Posted Tuesday June 17, 2008, About: Steaming Steinbrenner blasts N.L.
I love how Hank looks like a sniveling little brat whenever something happens to his precious Yankees. By the way, funny as hell when you watch American League pitchers at the plate (best example, Bartolo Colon)
Posted Friday June 01, 2007, About: How the Bobcats might get Kobe
This story is pretty much just BS and speculation. I love how fannation does that...tag line says, Kobe-Okafor trade, then you check it out, and it seems it just some analysts take on how it would go down if it went down. Too many sport reporters are making **** up now just to have a story.
Posted Wednesday May 23, 2007, About: Commish slams Portis' dog fight remarks
I agree Portis looked like an idiot on this one, and Samuels looked like Portis'**** (hence Portis getting all the heat). I hate dog-fighting myself, but also understand what Portis was saying: that in the scheme of things, dog-fighting is not that big of deal. But its illegal, and the NFL is all about clean image nowadays, and Portis should have known this.
Quick sidenote: When teams issue apologies on behalf of players just hours after the incident, do they really expect the fans to believe it came from the player? Do they think we are all a bunch of Portis's?
Posted Wednesday May 23, 2007, About: Giambi won't approve Angels trade
****...I betcha he would take this trade in a heartbeat. He wont get the pressure in Anahiem and last I saw, the Angels were cruising in the west.
Posted Wednesday May 23, 2007, About: A-Rod's elbow ticks off the Red Sox
Good point, newengland. I am not a fan of either team, but to say that Yankees fans dont complain is BS. I dont think A-Rod did it though with malice, he is probably just frustrated with himself and his team. Not saying what he did was right, but no more right than when a pitcher beans a player in anger. If Schill retaliates tonight, look for a scuffle to ensue.
Posted Sunday May 13, 2007, About: T.O.'s dedication surprises Cowboys
T.O. opens his mouth alot but so do alot of other players. He is not a trouble maker (as ffar as the law is concerned), he is a good player when healthy, he just likes to have the spotlight. The media kind of stirs the pot more than T.O., by making even none-T.O. stories into T.O.-stories.
Posted Friday May 11, 2007, About: Red Sox reliever criticizes Schilling
Im glad Papelbon called him out. Curt feels he can open his cake-hole anytime something is mentioned against Bonds. And even though I think there is something rotten about Bonds, no charges have been filed, even though it seems they have been working on a case against him for 4 years now. Looks like they might be a bit short on evidence.
Posted Friday May 11, 2007, About: Nowitzki to win NBA MVP
Think Nash was at home when he got his while the Mavs where advancing to the finals last year. And Dirk is not a choker in the playoffs, need I point to the Spurs/Mavs series last year? The Warriors were just one of those teams that had the Mavs number, regular season and playoffs. Despite the playoffs, Dirk deserves the MVP nod.
Posted Thursday May 10, 2007, About: Sources: Vick knew about dog fighting
stopwhining, if you are a Falcons fan, which Im not, and your team invests $130 million in a quarterback, and he doesnt live up to the hype, people have a right to complain. Thats what sports are all about: loving the good decisions, and hating the bad decisions. Vick needs to get his act together while he still can. Drop his friends, get his mom to move back in, and get his **** together.
Posted Monday May 07, 2007, About: Would T-wolves swap KG for Dirk?
Im pretty sure Cuban loves Dirk too much for that to happen. Look for Dallas to have a big off-season this year.
Posted Monday May 07, 2007, About: Super Bowl moving to foreign soil?
I cant imagine it happening. Im sure the idea was just tossed out there. But you never know: owners want their teams to get more exposure to be able to sell more merchandise. Lets not forget that, for the owners, this is a business. Tell you the truth, I probably wouldnt really care anyways, not like Im going to a game anytime soon.
Posted Thursday May 03, 2007, About: Hamstrung Yanks blame, fire coach
haha, very true JaBoo. Im guessing this wont be the only firing during the season. If this keeps up, Torre wont be far behind.
Posted Thursday May 03, 2007, About: Michael Vick's link to pit bull breeder
With the Falcons trading Schaub away, and if Vick does get in trouble for his actions, Petrino is in for a tough "rookie" year.
Posted Thursday May 03, 2007, About: Makings of Lakers blockbuster?
Kobe doesnt (or didnt) like sharing the spotlight. If you remember, he ran out a coach and a future hall-of-famer center because he is a such a fanfare hog. Maybe he is singing a different tune now that he cant get past the first round of the playoffs. But you know he loves being able to put up as many shots as possible so he can look like a potential savior of the Lakers. And with the team he has now, he doesnt have to worry about anybody complaining.
Posted Tuesday May 01, 2007, About: Bucs' No. 1 pick possible holdout?
No reason a player shouldnt get payed also. NFL is a multi-billion dollar behemoth, all the owners are almost on par, money-wise, and players are greedy **** because most of them came from nothing and want theirs? Put yourself in his shoes...**** straight you would be trying to get the bigger and better contract.
Posted Tuesday May 01, 2007, About: Bikini shots irk Eisen's wife
I am sure she can find some dude from Best Damned Sports Show Period, since that show seems desperate for ratings anyways. I dont know if that is a promotion though....
Posted Tuesday May 01, 2007, About: Sabathia an option for desperate NY?
Its as if the Post is giving Cashman tips on how to do his job. Little early to be thinking the Tribe is gonna fall out of contention any time soon, and I dont see why they wouldnt resign CC. But then again, the Tribe has a history of letting go of players that have been considered a mainstay of the team.
