The way it works is, if Plummer decides to retire, he will owe the Bucs not the Broncos approx 7 million dollars which is what remains of his prorated signing bonus. This was a great move by the Bucs, how many times can you get 7mil for a 4th round draft pick, which is the conditional pick the Broncos would get.

This is why there should be a rookie salary cap like the NBA, give them a 3 year guaranteed deal on a sliding scale depending on what round you were drafted. It would take care of all this BS of someone who has never played a down of PRO football demanding MEGA-Lottery type money.
