I'm a Giants fan and normally enjoy when Dallas gets abused, but like everyone is saying, this was painful to watch. Poor execution on both sides of the ball, and poor coaching decisions in the first half costing Dallas chance to challenge that interception. Truly Sad.
I'm with you brother. That dive play works when the defense has to worry about the quarterback keeping and running a sweep option. When you don't have a QB who is quick (like Burton) or built like a fullback (like Tebow); or a TB who is quick and can turn the corner (like Harvin or Demps), the defensive front seven will key on the dive. The front five are missing assignments still, halfway into the season!
And I second scrapping the orange jerseys, I had to live through them in the 80s, please not again.
Gotta concur with most comments here, that exchange should have been worked out well before the start of the season. I guess playing against your third string defense doesn't help a guard learn to be a center for a real game. Imagine if Pouncey had to have his 1st game against a BCS conference team instead -- Gators 0-1. the USF "D" is a few notches above Miami-OH -- I hope Robey is ready to play.
This thread has made my Monday morning go by a lot quicker -- thanks especially to Sam! Back-to-Back Championships are hard to come by, let's see how 'Bama fairs -- Saban couldn't do it at LSU either.
I have some diehard Skins fans in my house, and they are definitely NOT OK with Big Al's attitude. I'm a Giants fan, so I'm just sitting back and enjoying the show. I am curious how long Shanahan will put up with this Shyster?
Portis became "injury-prone" the last two years -- I have to agree that some competition in the backfield will lift the offense, and hopefully take some pressure off of McNabb. Really looking forward to that first Eagles/Skins game.
