You know the Bears have improved their WRs when their name isn't connected to every FA Wr rumor hou there. I must be dreaming, but it is nice not to be connected and rumored about all the time. GO BEARS!!! Hi EZ you get around. lol.
The Bulls biggest weakness last year was their support players didn't support Rose enough. This offseason all of them have been working on their offense. They all know what they need to do and will do it with Thibbs telling them what to do. Add in that Boozer has lost 20 pounds which will make him faster plus it will be easier on his knees and less likely for injuries. We might not need another prime time player, just what they are doing improving themselves so this team can win it all. If it doesn't work don't worry they are still young and can add another player anytime in the future. Don't forget the Charlotte pick and the dude stashed in Europe. GO BULLS!!!
Send in the Clowns, there ought to be clowns, don't bother... They're here!!!
Tebow and the Bronco's are dead the first time they run into a respectable offense. They just can't keep up. The only reason they are winning now is that they are close at the end of the game so Tebow can pull out a good drive and win it. But everything will change if he has to score 28 or more points during a game.
If they didn't they are stupid, and I don't think they are stupid. Suh and the Lions as a team need to learn this lesson now while they are still young and still can be the player/s the Lions hope he/they can be. Learn to be controled while playing whistle to whistle and it is a win win situation for both the Lions and Suh. Otherwise the Lions will loose many games because of this kind of foolishness which isn't helping them or their team in any way. GO BEARS!!! GO NFC NORTH!!!
In twenty years people will forget that it was an ex-assistant coach and will say Joe Pa was the Sexual Preditor doing things to his players etc. in the showers etc. !!!!!! You might doubt me, but just watch. I've seen much worse things twisted by the public. They will say, "Joe got fired too, so he must have done it with the man right!!!"
Joe deserves more than this. He DID report this MONSTER TWICE to his superiors. What else could he do? What else would you have done? (Without disgracing the university he/we all love so much.) Realize Joe was between a rock and a bad place ie. another no win situation. So no matter what this distinguished man was going to lose. Make the OFFENDER PAY not Joe.
I say let him coach at least untill this is a less remembered UGLY memory, or at least 2 or 3 more years. Then after this storm has blown over, he would probably be glad to retire. Why should another whistle blower be punished? Yes he did blow the whistle, it's just that his SUPERIORS disgraced themselves and this hallowed institution. However to fire him now is going to give Joe Pa and Penn State a black eye FOREVER!!! Yes this is a horrible thing ESPECIALLY for the abused, but make something postitive out of it. Make an private NCAA hotline that the Coaches and players can call to report things like this and other infractions. But to fire Joe Paterno now is a horrible overreacton to a equally horrible situation. Are we as Americans doomed to over-react like this? Why?
I have a strong feeling after watching that game that BOTH of those teams will lose at least one more game this season. They reminded me of the old Big 10 adage of, "3yards and a cloud of dust."
Nooooooo, Please either one or Both (Cowher as GM) come to CHICAGO!!!!!!!!!!! We need men not MICE to lead us. Ps. Don't bother trying to defend Lovie Smith or JA to me! GO BEARS!!!
Watch out NFL. The NFC North is starting to PROVE they have 3 of the best QB's in the NFL. With a little luck Minnesota could make it four too. So much for the NFC North being the weak sister of the NFL huh. Go BEARS!!!
As a Bears fan, we could usually count on getting some ints from Farve. Not so with Rodgers. Rodgers is quickly proving that he is better than Farve. Just wish he wasn't on the Packers. GO BEARS!!!
That's why so many businesses are moving to China and Mexico remember!!! No we won't pay to watch the Chinese play basketball, but the owners don't really care if there is basketball etc or not if they aren't making what THEY THINK is a proper amount on their investments.
Someday a professional sport is going to die because of this kind of lunacy. I don't know the percentages of how much money is made vs invested, but the owners need to/must make more money on their investments than they can make at say stock brokers, or gold, or something, or there just won't be anyone wanting to invest their money anymore. That's just cold hard economics. They have the money and if they don't make enough they will move their money to places where they think they can make more. Anyone who thinks they are in this for the sport or prestige is fooling themselves. It's a business plain pure and simple. Like I said I don't know the percentages, but all the players had better watch out and make sure the owners are making enough money IN THE OWNERS EYES, or there just won't be a professional sport for them to get paid for playing a game anymore.
Maybe the Cowboys would have traded for McNabb if the trade deadling hadn't just ended. Maybe not either. So my question is, Who do you think you could you get that's better than Romo?
At least now Jay is showing that he's the leader of the offense and is looking out for the whole team. He's a winner and wants to win. If stirring up the pot some is what is necissary then that's what he needs to do, and is doing!!! GREAT JOB JAY, just learn how to say the same thing without profanity. lol. (It is truly an art to curse someone out without using cursewords. lol) But I'll take this.
As I see it the sky is the limit, which is just about where we have to go to catch the Packers and Lions. At least now the Packers are going to be playing the better teams that we just did in the first 6 weeks. Lets see if they do as well or better. If they do worse we might just catch them!!! GO BEARS!!!
Letting a 29 year old Pro Bowl DE go for a low #1 draft pick when you would have to replace him is not something that would help your team. You will have high #1 and #2 draft picks already because of what your record is, (Sorry, no insult intended.) so keep him and build up with your draft choices. With just this next draft/off season you could come up with 3 or more new starters. Add in a free agent or two and you are right back in the hunt. Your record doesn't indicate it, but the Vikings are a .500 team in my eyes so you don't really have as far to rebuild as some people would have you believe. Good luck, a fellow NFC North fan.
And how many people are praising the 3/4 defense that the Lions run? Answer; None!!! The Lions run the 4/3 defense!!! Nuff said!!! 4/3 Defense RULES!!!
In five months they will all be saying how Cutler and Urlacher are both going to the Pro Bowl AGAIN and the Bears to the Super Bowl. At least that's alot more interesting right? GO BEARS!!!!
