One person from Longview WA does not constitute 'most Braves fans'.......cynical much? I don't think we need Willingham OR Smoltz (can't believe I just had to say that AGAIN). It's a given that Lowe, Kawakami or Vazquez may be part of a trade, hopefully we keep Jurrjens. I think 'most Braves fans', the REAL ones like me, are looking to the future. I can't wait to see Heyward in the bigs....when the time is right.

Don't paint all of us with the same broad brush SR. If you think this site is where 'most Braves fans' hang out you are sorely mistaken.....I've seen much more knowledgeable discussions on the MLB.com and AJC.com blogs.

I think Snelling is a capable backup, along with Norwood. We weren't really moving the ball effectively, then Turner gets hurt and the game was all downhill from there. Our defense let us down (again).....we had a shot at winning the game if they hadn't let Williams get free on that last TD run late in the 4th qtr.

I hope Jurrjens isn't one of them either. BUT, it's going to be difficult to find any takers for Lowe or Kawakami. I would like to see the Braves work out a trade for Adrian Gonzalez.....just wishful thinking. :-)

Chico, he went to the Deion Sanders secondary school....if he can't push them out of bounds, there won't be a tackle. I am so glad the Falcons got rid of him.

Of course, we still have the same problem....no one knows how to 'wrap up'....but that's another story.

Agreed about Richt....and Martinez; Bobo's play-calling isn't spectacular, but I don't think they will dismiss him.
Highly unlikely that anyone other than Cox or Gray will get the snaps for the rest of the year. Murray and Mettenberger apparently haven't shown Richt anything special in practice to make him want to switch it up right now.

No problem. Personally, I thought Donnan was a good coach but the AD felt that you shouldn't lose to Tech that many times I guess....but a rather flimsy excuse to fire a guy who had a 41-19 record. The Richt situation is eerily similar....we'll see what happens.

I've tried to tell my fellow Dawg fans who are complaining about Richt that the grass isn't always greener with a new coach.....just look at Rich Rodriguez.

Richt has been there since 2001. Donnan was run out of town by Adams (former UGA prez) b/c he lost to GA Tech 3 times in a row and had two consecutive seasons of 8 wins....oh, and I might add that Donnan was dismissed against the wishes of Vince Dooley, AD at the time.
