James has a looonngggg way to go to get to MJ's level. and i don't think the two should be compared until James actually wins a ring (several of them actually).
nice tribute. i never had the privilege of watching Mays play, except in numerous film clips...but i do remember when i first started playing ball, the coach asked me what number i wanted and before he could even finish the question, i said "24!!" in the loudest voice possible.
not able to spend much time on FN anymore, but Cowboy Dave's posts were always entertaining. for those that knew him, you have my sympathy for the loss of your friend.
a question for DJ: you refer to the Becca incident in your blog....so did she did NOT pass away after a bout with cancer? not trying to bring up bad memories for you, just curious since A LOT of people were mourning her loss.
i know you mentioned Patsy and Loretta, but don't forget: Kitty Wells - it wasn't God who made honky tonk angels Sammi Smith - help me make it through the night Lynn Anderson - Rose Garden Skeeter Davis - the end of the world
and no Little Jimmy Dickens on your blog?! lmao
man, i could do this all day....gotta get back to work. again, nice blog UH!
nice blog. my granddad was a big fan of Ernest Tubb; he actually got to meet him and have his picture taken with him during one of Tubb's last tours to different military bases around the country. i think that was 1979 or maybe 1980, not real sure now...damn, i'm old.
did i miss it in the blog, or did you not mention Shooter Jennings?
Flatt and Scruggs were responsible for the Beverly Hillbillies theme song...sure wish i had me a cement pond in the backyard. :-)
Maybe b/c ATL and NE already had the bye week (and home field advantage) for the playoffs...and that is just the NFL's way of trying to give their prospective opponents 'props' for advancing to the next round??? i'm guessing of course. Go Falcons!
Oregon didn't exactly play a stacked schedule this season; a 5-7 team (Cal) held them to just 15 points after they had been stomping all over the PAC-10 week after week. you can guarantee Auburn has been watching that game tape over and over. also, Auburn is pretty tough against the run...hope James and the Ducks' O-line are ready for some 'smashmouth' football.
i'd like to see a close game and i believe these two teams will deliver just that.
world class? i would not associate Vick with either of those words.
there really is no comparison between his off-field activities and Ali's. Ali stood up for something bigger than himself, something he believed in. Vick was just a common thug.
Having AJ back will help, but Bobo's play calling leaves A LOT to be desired. Run, run, pass is not a formula for success; no wonder Miss St was able to defend so well.
This team looks uninspired right now. No fire, no passion...and more importantly, no offense.

so you love Miranda Lambert huh? how about that girl from Lady Antebellum, Hillary Scott? she looks mighty good too.
A. You ain't gonna score!
stay off the drugs son.....
