when i saw that on the scroll on mlb the other night, i had to do a double-take. if (when?) he gets called up, they should make him sit down with Cliff Lee for some lessons on how to pitch effectively.

sounds about right. i expect the braves to make him a qualifying offer that he will turn down in order to test the market. i fully expect to see him with an AL team next season.
he did that in early April this yr in a game vs. the A's. he caught a fly ball in RF two steps onto the warning track and then fired a SEED to 3rd... in the air, right on the guy's chest.
the A's broadcasters were marveling at his arm while talking about how glad they were that the runner on 2nd decided to stay put.
yep...EJ is a big tall dude, but he's lean. his main problem is footwork imo. like Otis said, a couple of yrs getting coached in the NFL might be just what he needs. i'm an FSU fan, been watching him these past few yrs, he reminds me of Cunningham (Randall had a better arm tho)
yeah, right now the Braves really do look like contenders. but it's a long season, we'll see how much 'staying power' they have. the start to this season has been great, but i'll be more excited to see them doing this AFTER the All Star break.
is Mujica the closer now, or is Boggs still getting a shot at it? what happened to Motte?
good question - lone jihadists and small funded cells (not necessarily well funded) can get access to anything they need; there's always a $$$ trail, just have to know where to look.

love that quote: 'right now, zero'. attaboy arte, leave that door to unemployment ajar for Scioscia.

good kid, ok arm...maybe the next Randall Cunningham?
(1) since 2006, the strikeout rate has increased every year.
(2) the BA with RISP across the majors is .178.

(quietly swears about trade that sent Wainwright to the Cards)
Wainwright looked good yesterday, had all his pitches working.
