I too would send my son to him, if I was certain my son understood what he would be in for. And I say that because 98% of his former players count him as a mentor, a teacher and a friend. They also say playing under him was hard, but worthwhile. i would not deny my son that opportunity. And I will tell him to ignore Kelvin Sampson insane amounts of phone calls...
I have only been to new Comiskey once so your opinion holds more weight...just don't steal some ladies money and it should be smooth, right? Unless you are a first base coach...hehehe.
And I am fairly certain even cubs fans loved the big hurt.
And agin, thenieghborhood is of little concern to me, however the point could be made that most of the crap going on in Wrigelyville is imported, and the South Side crap is a bit more home grown.
And if you grew up in an all Cub family...what the hell happended to you? Or were you "rebelling?" hehehe...just bustin your chops.
I grew up attending games at Wrigely as often as we could win tickets through contests or convince my father to spring for some cheap seats.
Having experienced the enviroment at both, I assure you I would feel more comfortable at Wrigely. And to add after 4 games here at the Bank, I will not go back with my family unless I can afford to sit 100 or 200. It was horrible at the 300 level the 2 games we sat there.
*And I assure you, I live in a place as good as the South Side for guns stabbings and the like...doesn't mean I want it at the ballpark. The ballpark should be a respite, not warfare.

But my point is that crappy things happen with or without alcohol. I find it amusing people blame beer sales though the story doesn't mention alcohol at all. I am guessing if he was indeed intoxicated, he would have gotten charged with public intoxication as well as theft. The idea that it wouldn't happen without alcohol is silly. As to taking your kids, I agree. However I have been to events with no alcohol sales which were as bad if not worse than the 700 level of the old vet or the new 400 level of the Bank. I hear that the bleachers in Chicago are almost unbearable 9they didn't used to be) perhaps it is matter of bad people behaving badly and letting bad people off the hook by blaming the phantom beer helps no one in my opinion.

You must live under a rock. Where do you work Kumbaya Institute? I personally had to brake up a pushing match between two co-workers myself, and I do social work.
But that still doesn't answer the question. That Zambrano and Edmonds don't care for each other will do what exactly? And please save me the trouble of asking you to provide prrof of your answer lest I dismiss it with the same dismissiveness as you claiming few if any co-workers fight.
Hey KenoshaMark, me thinks the professionals disagree with you

And for the record, I was wondering if all of you (I am making a big assumption here regarding the working part) work every day with people you do not like, correct? Nobody says you have to like them and doesn't hinder your job performance (or it shouldn't) so who cares if you do not like them? And odds are you wouldn't have anything nice to say about them, correct? Why then do you care what Z has to say about Edmonds?
Not cardinals fans though you talk about an annoying bunch...
