No, I agree with you. It has to be the right role with the right team, that I understand. With him though the issue is still his pride. I'm not sure he gets that.

Agreed but I can see Atlanta not even offering close to a max contract for him. If he wants to get paid he's going to leave.

Agreed. He really isn't a running back. Receiver, or cornerback would be better positions for him especially if he has eyes on the NFL.

If Weis is fired that could mean a new coach and a new offense. Both of them have had some great statistical seasons and are pretty high in the minds of evaluators. If I were them I would go. Go now while the stock is high.

Agree with everything you said here, and honestly feel the same way. It doesn't seem likely he's going to push his pride to the side though and that's a damn shame.

I can understand the reconsidering but unless Larry Brown is able to stress to him that he's going to have to take a 6th man role to play in the NBA, then he is going to retire.

Never believed he would stay in Atlanta. I am also on record as saying that he would be a Knick because of all the players that are out there he is one I can realistically see coming to play here.

The Bulls wouldn't be a bad fit either. Would have to do something about Deng or Salmons to find a spot for him, though.

Both Gil and Brendan Haywood say the same thing about the team having 8 upcoming free agents and a problem with egos. Not sure who they are talking about in particular, but Flip Saunders has a problem on his hands.

New Orleans is close to a fire sale but Okafor's contract is pretty hard for most teams to take. The article does state everyone but Chris Paul is available but if you trade the few valuable guys they got left, would Paul even want to stay at that point?

Throw in Devin Gardner into this mix next year and it really gets interesting.

I won't be surprised if one of these guys transfers or if Robinson (in particular) gets a position change. It just won't surprise me at this point with the Wolverines.
