Posted Thursday March 29, 2012, About: Bruce Lee would've battered Pacquiao or Mayweather
Anyone can be a great fighter in the big screen and fights at a YMCA aren't exactly prize fighting. Fighting for real is a whole other ball game. Lee might have known the martial arts but you have no idea how he would have reacted after 12 rounds of fighting with the guy relentlessly going for you gut. He was a movie star not a fighter, big difference. Did he even have a professional fight of any kind?
Posted Wednesday March 21, 2012, About: Peyton Manning will fail a Mile-High in Denver
They just made the playoffs with a QB that can't pass the ball. The core of the team is very good which is why they where an attractive landing spot for Manning. The line is actually pretty good.

I hope you guys remember your words because the Broncos will be a contender or the next two years.

This is a young team just ready to make the next step and all they needed was a QB. They got it. He didn't go to the 49ers because they are older and their WRs stink. Sorry but Moss is done. The Broncos D made great strides last year and was more responsible for their run in the 2nd half of the season then Tebow was.

I told everyone that Manning was done in Indy back in November and was told I didn't know what I was talking about. I said in December he is going to Denver and I was told I didn't know football. I am telling you Denver will be a top team in the AFC.

Decker and DT are budding stars going into their 3rd year. Just wait and watch. There is a reason that Manning and his people picked Denver. It is a great landing spot for him.

You also show that you really don't watch much football with the O-line comment. They are good here in Denver. Just because Tebow ran around with his head chopped off doesn't mean the line was bad. He was just a guy who can't read a defense. Clady is a great LT and just entering his prime.

He has also been cleared by every doctor who examined him. He will be 100% come season.
Posted Wednesday March 14, 2012, About: Steve Young says he would sue the Saints if they injured him
Then Steve should get a lawyer and start suing because these things where common in his playing days and in reality the Saints are one of many. The whole investigation started with the Packers 2 years back when they where rumored to be giving "bounties" for performance. Hold Peterson under a 100yds or something similar.

Is it wrong to do? Yes but lets not make it a bigger deal then it was. Sorry Colin but all the negative adjectives towards the Saints isn't necessary. The Saints where going to go after Favre no matter what. The Bounty is just something fun in the locker room. I don't think it should be done but these are confident people and they like to have competitions.

Young needs to keep his mouth shut because I would bet my left arm he even saw this happen on his own team. Guys get so "Holier then thou" after they are done playing. Either the guys today are greedy, don't play as hard or just don't respect the game. Go sit on the porch with a rocking chair and a pipe to talk about your glory days.
Posted Wednesday March 14, 2012, About: Steve Young says he would sue the Saints if they injured him
Favre already came out and said he wouldn't do anything of the sort.
Posted Thursday March 08, 2012, About: The Saints should avoid Randy Moss like anthrax
Moss has shown in the past that if his back is against the wall he will fall in line. I think the Saints can sign him to a one year deal in which they can cut him if he acts up and he would actually give them a very good year.
Posted Wednesday February 29, 2012, About: Danica Patrick; Enigma or marketing genius? UPDATE
Did not know that about Jackie and I look forward to the blog. Just starting to learn the history of baseball now as I never really watched, cared for or understood [big one here] the sport.

The mental make up is big. Sounds similar to Joe Louis who after Jack Johnson needed to give a different perspective of a black athlete. Joe was clean cut and knew how to play the game. Got screwed in the end but that was the way back then.
Posted Wednesday February 29, 2012, About: Danica Patrick; Enigma or marketing genius? UPDATE
Yea somehow I don't think Jackie Robinson would have broken the color barrier had he just been a utility player how hit .230.
Posted Wednesday February 29, 2012, About: Danica Patrick; Enigma or marketing genius? UPDATE
When someone is breaking a barrier or doing something outside the norm they will always face the same criticism. Whether it be a the first person of a certain race or sex if they aren't dominating the sport they will be criticized and told they don't belong or it is a gimmick. They can't be average like Danica is. Heard people all the time she didn't belong in Indy yet she was beating several others every week. If she didn't belong than there was like 10 others that didn't either.

To the point of the article [a good read by the way] if Danica wasn't a good looking girl I doubt she would ever have made it to where she was. Just to much criticism to break through but she is marketable and NASCAR needs that so they let her in.

A lot of women tennis players break on the scene at a young age and are done early. Not at 22 but they are rarely going past 30.
Posted Monday February 27, 2012, About: Braun is a cheater
They are all on something. If you think you Cubs are all clean than you are just fooling yourself.

Braun shouldn't have been punished. Sorry but if the sample doesn't go through the correct procedures the results of that sample are meaningless. We don't know who may have tampered with it or what was done. There is a reason for procedures to help keep integrity, MLB failed in that.
Posted Monday February 20, 2012, About: Miguel Cotto to KO Floyd Mayweather in the first round?
Knockout is Cotto's only chance but that isn't a good one. I am not buying this card or Pac's until they fight each other. Enough of this crap. Also not falling for the garbage fight of Mosley vs Alvarez. Just another showcase fight for a young guy vs a shot fighter. If it was a HBO fight I wouldn't mind but they aren't making the PPV anymore intriguing to me. Their two "main" events are not even contests.
Posted Monday February 20, 2012, About: No other fighter is close to Andre Ward
Martinez has shown a little more interest in this fight. I don't see him going up to fight any other 168lber but he might fight Ward if the money was right. The problem is that neither are huge draws. Ward can't even sell out in his hometown in Oakland [only sold like 5K seats in his last fight there] and Martinez is still not a huge draw.
Posted Monday February 20, 2012, About: No other fighter is close to Andre Ward
Well if I want to get picky I would say Ward will dominate the Super Middleweight division, might want to fire you editor for missing that type LOL.

Ward is a great fighter. Can change his style seamlessly going from fighting with a jab at a distance or fighting on the inside. I still can't stand him. Hate his SOG mantra, I find it a bit obnoxious. Still a great fighter.

I don't think he is unbeatable. I question his chin and where he is fast I don't find him blazing fast. I want to see a fight with Bute but Ward doesn't appear to be eager for that one.
Posted Friday February 17, 2012, About: NFL Mock Draft 6.0
I don't think the Packers will lose Wells. I think he gets a long term contract and Finley will get the franchise tag.
Posted Friday February 17, 2012, About: NFL Mock Draft 6.0
Denver has very good young WRs. Decker and even now DT are looking the part. Decker will be great in the slot and DT is showing that he can be a possession guy in this league. They would be budding stars and big time fantasy sleepers if they had a QB to throw them the ball.
Posted Friday February 17, 2012, About: NFL Mock Draft 6.0
I wouldn't read into what Irsay is saying about Manning. To me it was nothing more than a PR move. He was basically trying to put the eventual blame on Manning but it won't work, Manning can play this game as well.

Peyton is gone. Makes no sense for either to continue on with each other. The city will recover as they always do and does Manning even live in Indy? I am sure he has a house there but is a full time resident?
Posted Monday February 13, 2012, About: Saul Alvarez to KO Shane Mosley on Cinco de Mayo
It is sad because these are the type of fighters that Mosley used to feast on. Straight forward pressure guys that he could hit. It will be a one sided affair or I could see Mosley quitting on the stool.
Posted Thursday February 09, 2012, About: Chavez, Jr. now looks like a juicehead
There is reason to question why the WBC and Texas didn't test and the fact that Chavez has been positive in the past is a red flag.

The problem I have is people talking like Chavez skipped out. He did't.

I like Rubio but his whining through all this was been a turn off. First the ref, than weight and now this. If he had said that "Hey no one is getting tested here and I want to know why not." I would support him but he made it appear as Chavez was skipping out on it intentionally.
Posted Thursday February 09, 2012, About: Lennox Lewis warns Vitali Klitschko he may get KO'd
I fully expect Vitali to win by knockout but this fight could be entertaining. Chisora did lose his last 2 of 3 by the judges but he was straight out robbed in the Robert Helenius fight. Vs Fury Chisora just didn't take the fight seriously coming in fat. I actually expect a good scrap for as long as it lasts.
