Just call them the west coast version of the Red Sox....circa 2012....underachievers galore....look up north at the Giants....they play team ball and there is cohesiveness in the club house.....magic and the rest of the Dodgers (also throw in the Angels)are getting just what they deserve
Quitter? hed has no brain damage, hip or knee replacements......smart move to quit when he did ....and not only that he didn't pull an Emmitt Smith and hang on just to get the all-time rushing record....
Beasley is one of the poster children for those who should have stayed in college....upon entering the NBA, he has done nothing to up his game, has questionable maturity and mostly, never learned how to play basketball....
the only problem with weighing that much is the injury factor....and as he get's older.....and heavier it will be that much more difficult to bounce back....
The majority of players who come out early are regulated to journeyman status within three years after entering the draft.....look at Michael Beasley.....he had the talent, he had the tools, but he chose to listen to his "advisers" and his career has been (being kind) serviceable... so many players come out early without any knowledge as to how the game of basketball is played...raw talent will only take you so far....
Alex Smith is a "serviceable" QB....he is a game manager, not someone who will lead a team....go ahead! Throw money at him! Harbaugh was right in sitting him....the 49ers would not be in the SuperBowl this season if he was under center
I would take any SF Giants pitcher over anything the Dodgers have to offer...the talk right now is how they are going to win the NL West, bu the Giants will definitely have something to say about that....large contracts and players top notch in name only do not make a champion
trade down and collect more picks
Is that what you kids are calling it these days???
