I'm for leaving Bill Jr. off of it and Dale Earnhardt, the HOF is about who made it great. Bill Jr. and Earnhardt already had established paths. As JK said a lot of others deserved it before these two most certainly. The older crowd took the dirt tracks, sandy beaches to make what it was 8 years ago ( it has definetly fell off a lot in my opinion)
Posted Monday August 31, 2009, About: Why Bruschi decided to retire
He has had some issues over the last couple of years. Didn't he also have neck surgery a year or so before his stroke? I may have him mistaken for someone else. Anyhow class act hate to see him go but, glad to see it on his terms. (at least in the public eye) Wish him nothing but good.
Posted Monday July 06, 2009, About: Stewart didn't like path to win
Sorry 'bout the mix up I was trying to remember which one it was and didn't have the replay in front of me. I just remember all the heat he got after the accident. As far as the race restrictor plate racing is what it is. Smoke and shrub were both racing hard and shrub just got trimmed back a little. As far as Bristol goes both incidents, that's just Bristol racing. As most folks know, racing is a "contact" sport and he just got contacted. It happens all the time on any track some just more than others. Sorry 'bout the mix up between Elliott and Marlin, both of which are class acts which is something else you hardly see anymore.
Posted Monday July 06, 2009, About: Stewart didn't like path to win
That was a typical Earnhardt move to win the race, as well as a typical Earnhardt move to lose it. If folks remember that's what cost him his life, blocking Bill Elliott if I remember correctly. That move is as old as restrictor plate racing itself, Tony's false concern for "the way he won" is old. He is jumping for joy inside the hauler, and don't anyone forget it! He would have done the same thing to anyone else for either position just because it's racing. He has to put on the sad face because before Shrub came along he was the NASCAR "bad boy" if folks think back. Just like Earnhardt Sr. was the losing years before his resurgence, any body remember Bristol and Terry Labonte.

It's his toy and he can play with it the way he wants to!
Posted Thursday June 04, 2009, About: Gordon's back acting up again
I like the new JR! He appears to have that drifting down to an art. Give him a few years and he might win at that. He's a good fella, he will be back to mediocrity in no time. I will always wonder if NASCAR hadn't penalized him those 25 points a few years back if he wouldn't have won the championship then, he was the man that year! Just wondering out loud. As far as Jeff's back, he is and will always be a 4 time champion unless he gets the 5th this year and that speaks volumes for a driver and his team/owners whether you like them or not.
Posted Thursday June 04, 2009, About: Gordon's back acting up again
Poor Jeffy. He had a good run, maybe in the off-season he can get it repaired properly and race a few more good years. Maybe he'll get his 5th this year.

FRANSCAR at it's finest, if you are not greasing my pocket I don't need ya. With the economy this will be a slim year for the folks. I just hope the home town tracks stay afloat. For my part of the new government auto companies we need to put our money in reconstruction not destruction that FRANSCAR will provide. They provide nothing but boring roundy-round events anymore, it's the same as watching an Indy car event. Put them fellas on a dirt track and watch the fur fly then now that's fun.
Posted Thursday June 04, 2009, About: Shaq hopes Kobe wins title
It's all just entertainment for the sake of the sponsors any how! Very little sport left, lots of players; not many sportsmen. The purity of the game was sacrificed years ago for the sake of the buck. I thought they had a dress code, if that's the case what was the Magic player doing on media day doing giving an interview in a tank top. Just overpaid thugs. Kobe belongs in jail and truth be known probably more that never get caught.
Posted Tuesday June 02, 2009, About: IndyCar feud pushing Danica to NASCAR?
She like JR just another average driver with a handicap, his is his name, hers is her looks/attitude. Besides all that next year it will be the Prius cup, or maybe just a Hiccup. I don't think Ford wants to go it alone. Just my thoughts though.
Posted Tuesday June 02, 2009, About: Petty: Dodge NASCAR money on hold
Well I heard yesterday that the taxpayer AKA federal govt. now owns 60% of G.M. and for my 2 cents that percentage is a lot better spent on good R&D not on the COT. So with that being said throught the carbs out the window and get them boys racing in what is on the street! They had crumple zones in Harry Gant's Oldsmobile and Davey Allison's Ford and there hasn't been a factory carb roll off the line since the mid 80's, (I think 86 for the Mustang) Advertising is one thing but, the other has always been R&D for the big 3. If you can't do that then just make them run advertisements on TV! It's a whole lot cheaper!

One thing about the girl she sure surprised me today with a 3rd place finish. They couldn't touch Helio though.
Posted Sunday May 24, 2009, About: NAACP wants Confederate flag race ban
The liberal's in general have catered to all the minority's requests which have led to the dumbing down of America and the Bill Clinton revisionist history hasn't helped. It takes a village was one of many phases leading to the socialist state of America today. The children graduating from high school today are spoiled, misbehaving, children in search of a goal with no idea how to achieve it. That's just the ones wanting to make it in this world you go to the dead beats and most of those didn't even make it to high school because it was too hard, no fun, had to work because of a dead beat parent, etc. etc. The students are unruly in school because they have no discipline or respect for authority figures therefore they do what they want when they want and are passed because the hugely underpaid teachers don't have the time to work with them and their parents don't give a care, and oh yea it takes a village says so. The next generation isn't going to understand failure because they haven't faced it. Life is rough and these kids aren't taught the proper way to approach failure. Enough ranting like I said earlier the NAACP should be disbanded along with the Black History or any other minoriy history month we are Americans and the holiday is July 4th.

Well if Mr. France wants to distance himself from the good ole boys he is definetly headed in the right direction. I'm sure they will gladly oblige, lets see him make multi billion dollars in smog L.A. or in the Poconos or Vegas. The heart and soul of NASCAR is where? That's right in the heart of Good Ole Boy central. The NAACP needs to disband because they are nothing more than a federally funded domestic terrorist organization with a blatant agenda to advance a race at all cost, hum sounds like another group of terrorists don't it!
Posted Sunday May 24, 2009, About: How Hendrick avoided shutdown
Yeah dr. I think they called it cancer for a while then something else, etc. etc. No need for him or those like him. They have definetly corrupted the sport.
Posted Sunday May 24, 2009, About: How Hendrick avoided shutdown
How about all those money charges he wrangled his way out of. He is still just too shady a character for me to support much less his drivers, it's a shame someone like Mark Martin went to that stable; figured him for better than that.
Posted Sunday May 24, 2009, About: Danica still open to NASCAR
I'm gonna do it. Her like Dale Jr. is an average driver and if she didn't have the handicap going for her she would be in calendars. When her time with Andretti Green is up she will go to a lesser team and then go away to TV land or maybe just obscurity either way she'll be gone. :)
Posted Friday May 22, 2009, About: NASCAR asks drivers, owners for ideas
I'm with kodiak and Ohio on the DW and Digger. People come to see racing and tune in on TV for racing not some once was run his mouth. That's as bad as Jimmy Spencer on the Speed channel. Let the drivers race give them the horses they need to compete and win week in and week out. Take out the restrictor plates at Dega and Daytona and let the driver make his own decision whether to tear up his equipment or not. Bring NASCAR back to it's roots, it has gotten too big for it's britches right now. The drivers now are hired guns not even wrenches and wouldn't know a tie rod if they tripped over it much less a cam shaft. Just my 2 cents.
Posted Monday May 18, 2009, About: Junior's still most popular driver
Must agree with ya, he is truly mediocrity at it's finest. Ya can't blame anyone, he has reached his talent potential. He will continue to be a fine driver not great but good enough. He like Kerry just a good enough for the name, just not talented or tenacious enough to step up another level.
Posted Monday May 18, 2009, About: Mayfield leaves infield at NASCAR's request
Until NASCAR makes their list public knowledge to the drivers and other crew members they should ALL boycott the series. That is total BUNK to make a list that effects your people and not tell them what it is, I don't know about the rest of the folks here but; I wouldn't trust them at all. They probably change the list just for their convenience. The drivers seem to forget they do hold the trump card. NASCAR and it's low ratings are on the way out and now the crooks are playing secret squirrel with the players, how childish.
Posted Saturday May 09, 2009, About: More Danica-NASCAR rumors
Not doubting Martin's strength, this is about the sizes. As far as strengths not a doubt Martin is in great shape. Between the economy and the general waning popularity of NASCAR they have to do something. It's obvious Erin Crocker doesn't have the financing to get to the show but, Danica does. Besides all that it would give the habitual whiners something else to whine about besides the usual. ( Shrub, Jr., Cousin Carl, etc.) Shake it up a bit, nothing like change to make the establishment think.
