A decent comment for a change. I'm bummed about it, too, but maybe both sides are being completely honest, that it just wasn't the right fit. And I'm glad Crist is getting one more chance, given the sportsmanship he displayed all season after the benching. He's a true Notre Dame man, even though his wares are going to be employed farther west this season. In short, it looks like things are getting serious at Notre Dame, that things are being handled correctly; and we finally have a good head coach.

He proved two years in a row he can play under pressure. Having to replace a Heisman hopeful under unpleasant circumstances could not have been a typical succession. Plus, he can throw it a mile, and he makes plays happen, and the team seems to feed off his energy and talent. Not your typical very good college quarterback surrounded by great players. He was in that strata himself, if not quite the equal of LaMichael.
