You're not very smart, are you? That "fine and losing a draft pick" was the biggest fine in nfl history before this thing came across.

As to the Pats going 0 for 2 if they didn't videotape, congrats, I didn't know you had a time machine.

"he plans on spending this off-season putting the finishing touches on what he thinks can be playoff contender in 2013. "

I'll believe it when I see it.

On the bright side, he can't really screw them up worse.

Arrogant for not wanting to give up their future for a 2-month 35 year old rental?

Sure.
Posted Sunday August 05, 2012, About: Dodgers irate over Cubs trade ethics breach
Well...the Cubs are idiots for this, but I don't see how it really made a difference. I don't see why the Dodgers would be more than irritated at this.

OK, the difference in pinch-hitter OPS is something I didn't think of. I don't think that the difference between pitchers' OPS really matters, because both are so horrid that they are almost an automatic out.

Scully's my favorite Dodger, which is saying something.

8 runs in >5 innings. Nolan Ryan must have been happy to see that.
Posted Friday August 03, 2012, About: Why Dempster's impact will be minimal
The problem is, it seems to me that with the way things are setup, AL teams have a distinct advantage in interleague play. If the teams are playing in an AL ballpark, the AL team is set up for having a DH, but the NL team isn't, and therefore will use either a backup player as a DH, or give one of their nromal starters a rest from the field...and still have to have a backup player hitting, because said backup player ended up in the field subbing for the starter. When they play in an NL ballpark, the NL team doesn't have that advantage. The AL team might lose the option to have a 9th bat, but the NL team doesn't have that bat either.

It seems to me that with all things being equal, the AL team would win slightly more often.

Now I'm even happier the Dodgers didn't try to trade their farm system for 2 months of him.
Posted Wednesday July 25, 2012, About: Pats going 16-0 again?
The Patriots are a huge longshot to go 16-0, I greatly, greatly doubt they can do it (I said this about reaching the super bowl before last season, so here goes nothing).

The problem is, you need someone else to want him in order to trade him.

This.

This whole thread is hilarious. Refs blow calls all the time, at every level. I personally saw some ridiculously horrid officiating at a college game during march madness. It's nothing special.
