ok this has become a Lakers thread. I'm out.

Yeah the bad decisions this front office makes is long and storied.

I only bring it up as it relates to Amare. If they keep Lee they don't overpay to have Amare come over.

Now he is a literal Albatross just hanging around the necks of the Knicks franchise. Here's hoping he can turn it around.

They should've never let David Lee go.

Agreed. I think Kobe is the crux of the drama and what is going to prevent them from moving forward. Just don't see him sharing this team. This does seem to be the popular opinion now.

The train of thought being that he is a SoCal guy and the Lakers being one of the most popular and storied franchises world wide would have a certain allure to a young player. I'm sure if he was to receive a lucrative offer from the Lakers he may feel that its a good move. The Lakers do need to get better at attracting this new younger generation of stars.

The Zen Master can possibly be that guy and by extension Jeannie. Kupchak has had the luxury of the Lakers willing to spend for the guys they want. With the new CBA and the way the luxury tax is structured is he still going to be that successful?

I think the real question here is not what are Kobe's motivations at this point in his career but instead why does Paul George feel that going to the Laker's "wouldn't be a smart move..."

All we can do is speculate. But in my humble opinion there is an internal strife in the Lakers organization of which I haven't seen before. With Dr. Buss gone and the Logo gone who is the superstar executivet that will right this ship?

Not offended. I don't even know you bro. Just making a point that Allen and Igoudala are not comprable players. Not really a point to compare them. One's an all star olympian. The other is a nice defender that you can get for cheap.

They are what they are. One's a ferrari the other is a camry.

I might of lost some respect for you do to your lack of loyalty.

That's the worst news I got all day. Too bad he had a HUGE impact in the early season last year. Him and Landry will be very hard to replace. I wonder if we can still get Landry back?

This.

But you know whatever. I'm not here to make people feel bad.

thats just like your opinion man.

Seriously change of venue will be good for him. And my point is that he is better offensively than Tony Allen.

Igoudala is better on the offensive end then Tony Allen. That is my point. I know you aren't trying to argue that. Right?

Curry
Thompson
Iggy
Lee
Bogut

Bench:
Jack ( we have the cap space now)
Barnes
Green
Ezeli

This is a good team that you shouldn't sleep on. Barring injuries I see this team making a return to the playoffs and perhaps making a deeper run in the playoffs. I am excited about the upcoming season and its been hard to say and actually mean that as a Warriors fan. Just glad we didn't have to give up any of our young players.

Tony Allen is also a good defender. I don't think that he's as good on the offensive end as Iggy though. That's why you don't see him with a team USA jersey hanging up in his closet. If you look at it from the Warriors perspective which I often do, Iggy is an upgrade over RJ who was making similiar money.

So we agree he's a good defender. I say he's an upgarde over RJ who was making similiar money. Still helps the team IMO.

Yes how would you describe him?

Just curious. He looked good in the playoffs. Best player for Denver not named Faried.

Its actually a really good move for the Warriors. Iggys a staunch perimeter defender who can do alot of things on the offensive end. It makes us a much deeper team and gives Harrison a chance to come off the bench. Have to remember that guys only going to be in his 2nd season. There is also the possiblity that they want to move one of the younger wings in a S&T with the lakers to get Howard. I think that shipped has sailed though.

I also like the Utah Trade. I've heard we had to give up two first rounders. '14 and '17. Thats worth it just to get rid of Biedrins and Jefferson. Those guys were not rotation players anyways.
Posted Friday July 05, 2013, About: Warriors desperately trying to make room for Howard
I like the Iggy deal. Shows management is not going to wait around for Howard to make a decision.

Can't believe that Utah was willing to give us the cap space for only two draft picks. Beans and RJ weren't rotation players. Its the addtion by subtraction that we needed to get Iguadola.

I'm thinking we should do a S&T with the Lakers for Howard. Offer Bogut and Lee. See if we can sign Smith.
Posted Thursday July 04, 2013, About: Howard 'up in the air' after Warriors' pitch
GS can send Thompson or Barnes (we prefer Thompson go and keep Barnes) Bogut and maybe a pick to LA for Howard. Apparently this is the best deal that the Lakers can get for a sign and trade. Bogut has one year left for 14 mil I believe so it does not hurt their cap situation plus you get a great SG still on his rookie contract. His daddy Mychal also played for the Lakers.

On a personal note it just warms my heart to see the Lakers in this position. They have lived high on the NBA hill for so long. Its just really great to see them oarless with no drive or direction. Just kind of rebuilding. No leverage. No plan B.

Just waiting. Hoping. Praying...
