Playoffs? Playoffs? This team will have some serious work to do. Then if they somehow end up as a 5 seed, they don't strike me as a team that could make a run through the grizzlies, then OKC, then the Heat without home court advantage. Their season is starting to get away from them.
The Lakers even though it's early look a lot like the Yankees
1) Kobe plays the roll of Jeter - aging superstar but knows how to win 2) Dwight plays ARod - big power guy, that is not so good in the clutch (got to be able to make FT) 3) Pau plays Andy Pettite - nice player probably good for 1 start every 4 games 4) Nash plays Ichiro - another aging superstar that doesn't quite fit the system he is coming into
The rest of the team collectively has a lot of holes and against the better teams in the league, it will become more pronounced. Still early though and you can sometimes buy a championship, but this team looks a little off.
