I guess the Commissioner might intervene in the Aldon Smith ordeal. Can't see the Niners picking up his 5th year option at $9.75 million by May 3 per contract terms. If they release him they would have to pay his 2014 fully guaranteed salary I think. But why do that when they can wait for the Commish to take care of it and possibly save some dough.

Well, maybe the Oak@SD game will be early this year instead of late like last year. Game 1 maybe? Always great to start off 1-0. Haha. In reality though, the Chargers are very adept at starting out in the hole and trying to eek themselves back into the picture in December.

Yep, Denver twice as well. Going to be a long year - not seeing 11-5 in SD. 9-7 if they're fortunate. Hoping a decent CB falls to No. 25 in the draft. Heck, anyone with two eyes, two arms, and two legs can start at CB in SD this season with who they've got right now.

Chargers get Patriots, Seahawks, Niners, this year . . . ugh.

Hard to plan when we still don't know the home and away dates (rrrrrrr, the draft gets pushed back so they push back the unveiling of the schedule dates, too), but it would be fun to party with you and hubby again.

What's up my friend? Are you planning your trip to San Diego for 2014?

I had to look that one up. I see the resemblance! Ha.

No biggie, Duke...they're still one of the top teams in the NFC. I don't see that changing this season. Do you think they will cut Smith? That's a lot of talent to cut, but I understand he could be too much trouble to keep around. They knew it before they drafted him but you always hope a guy will change/settle down.

That stuff about Kaepernick is interesting. You have to wonder how that will shake out. Seems to me if she doesn't remember anything, it will be pretty tough for him to get into trouble with the law unless witnesses come out of the woodwork. plus, why would he need to do something like that anyway? He must have his pick on any given day.

Yeah, sometimes the appearance of the characters lags the typing a little bit, but it catches up. And then there's "Spinny." You send a comment and it just spins like it's still processing, so you submit it again and you end up with a double post.

The fragile comment had nothing to do with whether he can come back from an ACL tear. But it had everything to do with the fact that it's risky to draft a guy while the jury's still out on how well he's healed. If you like doubling down with 9 when the dealer's got a 10 showing, go for it. I doubt the Patriots will.

But hey, maybe you're right. They might snap him up at 29 . . . if he's even there to snap up. He didn't "make a mistake." He grabbed some gal's breasts in a bar. Cracks me up when people get interviewed after incidents like that and they say something like "I'm not looking in the past. I'm moving forward and I know I've learned from my mistakes in the past." No, dude, you learned, if at all, from the consequences you suffered as a result of your character flaw and intentional sexual deviancy. And while true, the risk of consequences might keep you from re-offending, you're still a sex offender who has no respect for women. Good thing they don't play NFL games in Valdosta.

Just what the Patriots need. A fragile, low character guy who pled guilty to sexual battery and is banned from stepping foot in an entire town due to his sexual deviancy and poor judgment. I guess grabbing that gal in the bar in inappropriate places seemed like a good idea at the time. Pick him at 29? Not seeing it. Without even looking at the character issue, it's too risky health-wise (his Pro Day performance was favorable for sure, but not indicative of how well his knee will hold up under duress).

Heaven's Gate 2 - The Sequel. Mother Applewhite leading the way. Beam us up to the alien spaceship trailing Hale-Bopp 2 comet. Got my black shirt and sweatpants, black and white Nike Decades, and armband. Up up and away . . .
Exactly. What amazes me is that the OP actually thinks that the ESPN writer REALLY blames those guys for the loss. Maybe we can interest him in some swampland in Florida, too? I hope his wife doesn't come home from a long day at the office and tell him she's "dead." He'll be calling the cops and the funeral home when she heads off to take a nap.
I don't think they even attended the Mercer game. They attended the NC game on March 8 that Duke won. And they hung around Cameron Indoor on March 7 playing P-I-G with Quinn Cook and Jason Williams. And then Quinn Cook goes out against mercer and is Duke's high scorer with 23 or so points. But they lost. And Garrett and Romo were wearing Duke polos at the NC game.

There you have it. They were definitely responsible for the loss to Mercer. Had they included the other Duke starters in the game of P-I-G they would've beat Mercer. They fractured the team. It's their fault. How can you not see that?
*** Buffett.
Gonna have to wait til next year to get my $Billion from Warren Buffet.
Even if my bracket is close to being in a shambles. PAC 12 teams are looking good.
I love March Madness!
