Why is everyone so shocked that bounties exist in the NFL? In Hollywood Henderson's autobiography, he talks about how Ditka told him to take out the Saints kicker because he always jumped on piles at the end of plays.

We are so soft now. Everyone is supposed to live forever...football will eventually be banned because its too "violent". The game is already highly legislated every Sunday.

I could have gotten behind that statement 15 years ago when teams actually tried to develop talent...now, its instant gratification. Every team, every year is Super Bowl or Bust because of the parity of the league.
