Salty is the Rangers catcher of the future. Laird is being give time to up his value so that they Rangers can trade him for something decent (like say to Milwaukee, Boston, or Cincinnati). After that Salty will be promoted to starter straight from AAA. Starting him in AAA (which he skipped when he was with the Braves) will get him some valuable playing time to improve his defensive skills and get his bat going. Salty will finish the season as the Ranger's starting catcher.

TEXANSFAN, the Cowboys aren't moving LA. Not with Arlington putting up a huge amount of money for their new stadium. Jones is on the LA committee and someone from the Minnesota press asked him about the possibility of the Vikings moving to LA if they don't give Wilf a new stadium. The Cowboys were playing in Minnesota Thursday. He's not saying anything to controversial here.

We already know the NFL wants a team in LA. Now we know they won't expand there but instead move an existing team. It will probably end up being the Cardinals with Leinart at QB.
