He's an on-base machine. One season. He can't be that much trouble. I can't believe sox fans would be so much against him. I can understand not wanting him long term, but as a hired gun.....take him.

Barry Bonds is one of the greatest players of all time. I couldn't care less if he did steroids or not. He would be an asset to any team. The only thing wrong with the 08 season is no Barry. I think he would be a perfect fit for the Blue Jays, but I will watch him play for any team even the sox. People that talk badly about Barry are hypocrits. You all want to cast stones like you're perfect.

The bad news...Roy Halladay is pitching, so the yankees are going to hard pressed to score.
Prediction: Joba pitches five shutout innings....Roy pitches 8 innings of one run ball....the loss goes to the yankees bullpen

#2yanksfan.....You make good points. I agree with them all. But one of the most important jobs of a manager is to motivate, inspire and do the things necassary(whatever that is, i'm not sure) to get his players to perform at the level they are capable of. Is he doing this?

Does anybody notice that no sooner did he get removed from the game, his team actually won. Then they won Friday's game. I think the problem with the Yankees is Girardi. When he managed Florida he was successful, but had young inexperienced players. Now he is managing overpaid superstars. I have nothing against the man, but I think he is in over his hear with this team. Anybody agree?

Anyone who drinks and drives is extremely selfish. They put their conveniences, priorities and time in front of the safety of others. If Hancock was drinking, he can afford a cab. Much rather that he dies than killing a family in a Minivan. If he wasn't drinking, it's tragic that he died.
