The discussion was about a ND player possibly transferring to UCLA. You took the position that academics were the reason.
Several posts after your's cited a South Bend paper stating that it was possibly not an academic issue.
It seems to me that all you really want to do is wax eloquently and give your ego a boost. Good luck with that.
So you thindk that only ND and Stanford high standards? What about Northwestern, Vanderbillt, Duke and others.
Moss would not have been eligible at Marshall that year either. But that's where he ended up. Something in your recollection doesn't make sense.
ND is fine university, they are not the only one or two as you would like to have people believe. Your statement is why so many people jump all over ND when times are bad, in a word arrogance.
You are correct the Missouri or Nebraska move is a longshot. It will be a cold day before the B-10 opens the doors to the all knowing ND.
That's why I think the logical move is either Louisville or Cincinnati. Of the Big East, the only school the B-10 would consider is Syracuse. That's my opinon anyway.
Now for the greedy part. I think you'll find that the B-10 either leads or is close to leading in attendance for football and basketball. The B-10 network while in it's infancy, is generating revenue for every university. That's why Missouri and Nebraska would at least listen.
Without considering economics and travel the B-10 should look to Missouri and Nebraska.
It will be some time before the B-10 will invite Notre Dame enter, Notre Dame wants to be the tail that wags the dog.
Frankly, an accomplished golfer wouldn't be in favor of carts.
The most difficult statement many people can't make is, "As a black person you are as good or better than me." This problem does not exist on the field or in the arena, it exists in the upper echelon. The good ole boy fraternity still exists. If you don't agree that's fine becasue no amount of discussion will change your opionion.
