I think Cuban is just trying to protect his own interests. He doesn't want to risk one of his players getting hurt, and having to pay him while he rehabs.

He said "i guess", it sounds like the interviewer asked if he would come back if Aaron Rodgers was injured and the team needed a starting quarterback. I don't think he would come out and say that on his own.
