I could accept this challenge because you did not specify only current players but I know what you mean. Nobody in there right mind can challenge the team you came up with.

1. The Celtics have met the Lakers a record 12 times in the NBA Finals, including their most recent appearances in 2008 and 2010, with the Celtics winning nine and Lakers winning three. Four Celtics (Bob Cousy, Bill Russell, Dave Cowens and Larry Bird) have won the NBA Most Valuable Player Award for an NBA record total of 10 MVP awards.[3]

2. The Lakers 16 Championships the most recent in 2010. The Lakers hold the record for NBA's longest winning streak (33), set during the 1971-72 season. Sixteen Hall of Famers have played for Los Angeles. Four Lakers, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant have won the NBA Most Valuable Player Awards for a total of eight awards.

3. The Bulls- 6 Championships. They are relevant right now. JORDAN!

4. The Spurs- 4 Championships, have made the playoffs in 19 of the last 20 seasons, and have not missed the playoffs in the 14 seasons since Tim Duncan came to the Spurs in 1997.

5. This one is the hard one with a lot of teams with 3 Championships (76ers), (G. State) and (Pistons). I gave the nod to the Knicks based off their current talent and having 2 Championships and a lot of resources.

So you think Ripkins record could be broke? I agree I cant perdict the future but there is no evidence right now that would suggest 600 ever happing again.

If there is a team in the now it is the PACKERS. Great future ahead of them.

You can say that record will not ever be broken. Ripken's will never even be touched. With how manager and organizations baby their players that one wont be touched. If you have watched any of the talking heads on this subject nearly all of them agree with my point a view. I am still looking for a name that is currently pitching that could be cnsidered to reach this milestone.

You cant point to one guy that is on pace to reach this milestone. Yoda your a San Diego boy were is the love for Hoffman. Hoffman if on the Yankees might have had 40 to 50 more saves. Mo and Hoffman are 1st ballott HF and will be the only two player ever to reach that milestone.

You base a winner off (characters), I stated 4 things a future closer would need to achieve this milestone.
