You're looking at this the wrong way....this is yet another ploy by LV to manage his roster. It apparently becoming more difficult to process the slackers only after they sign, so he is now delving in the HS ranks to manipulate the process!
Question though.....what would LV do about all the money paid between now and then? Would he want it all back? or is that just the cost of doing business?
Having met and talked with Gee, I can attest he is very approachable. He spends an extraordinary amount of time on campus meeting students, as well as generates a tremendous amount of money for tOSU. How many here (who have attended college) say they have spoken to their school's president/chancellor/etc? Not many.
With that being said, he needs to keep his pie-hole shut when it comes to athletics (or anything else except academics for that matter). I thought he should have lost his job after the last incident, and he should not be employed as President now. And Gene Smith should have been fired, too, for his involvement with the conclusion of tat-gate.
Of course you don't see a problem, as the team you cheer for typically has the advantage. My comment was in regard to the team I cheer....the last 5 bowl games tOSU played in were:
Gator Bowl vs. UF Sugar Bowl vs. Arkansas Rose Bowl vs. Oregon Fiesta vs. Texas BCS NCG vs. LSU
In each of these games, the opponent has the "home field" advantage. The Bucks average 825 more travelling miles to the games, moving 2 time zones, and have 21 degrees difference in temp when compared to their opponent. Like I said, I'd like to have the Buckeyes have this built in advantage for a change.
When I applied, this was mostly true. They have tried to improve the students attending the main campus. I have some friends whose son was accepted into tOSU, but at one of the satellite campuses. This kid had a 3.8 GPA, but did not have many extra curriculars (not sports participation, not many clubs in HS, etc.) One of his friends had similar GPA, but will soon be an Eagle Scout, played 3 sports, was on the school government, etc. He will be attending classes on the main campus.
Joe, go read my comment again...my intent is to have a bowl game played where the "home" field advantage is slanted to the team I cheer....YOU brought up weather, not me. I'd like to have the home-cooking for a change.
You are the one crying....I would like to see my team have the home field advantage your team has had throughout its history.
My statement was to play here...there was no reference to weather, that was all on you. It seems you are scared of the impact the weather would have on your team, but are completely satisfied with accepting the advantage of playing home games.
And I think the deciding factor is that people (with lots of money) don't like to WATCH games in the cold.
or only "legal" payment?
You need to be more specific here.
<and if the sarcasm meter didn't peg, then it definitely needs repaired!!!>
Trying to get JK's heart rate up early aren't you!
