it is a civil case, not a criminal one. Even if Ben loses the case, Goodell wont do anything.

She can file charges for up to 2 years after the act. She already lost her job. She can STILL file charges if she wants to, but she does not. She has nearly an entire year left to do so, so why has she not filed them? Is it because there is no evidence? in a civil case, as she and her lawyer obviously expected, 90% of them are settled out of court. She wanted money. They never expected him to fight it. Now, they are backtracking and trying to get the case dropped without going to jail for slander, charachter assassination, wrongful prosecution and abuse of the courts. This says it all.

I know it is easy to say "just go, millioniare baby" but teh fact is, on the day he was traded (night before actually) his 2 children started school (sept 8) in the North Attleboro school system. Easy to say "go to Oakland" but you know what, he has a wife and two kids whose input is just as valuable as his jobs. If my job said "go to LA and work" and be there tomorrow. I would say, no way. I live where I live and my kids are here. If you say "next month" I could probably do that if my family is ok with it.

the "chase" should ONLY include race winners, and anyone who wins a race is in the chase. How is it possible that a guy with the 2nd most wins of the season is not going to make the chase. That is ridiculous!

You could have 2 winners - points winner and chase winner. Hockey did it in the past when they used points. Hell, they could even have a different sponsor for the chase. Sprint Cup winner is most points and BankAmerica Cup for the chase, or whatever.

You know, right or wrong, the fact is that the whole "respect" angle really makes for a very boring product and noone will buy a PPV to watch a "respect" fight. Lesnar did what White told him to do, except maybe for the sponsor thing. you can be damn sure that Dana White told Lesnar to snap after he won. Lesnar is, after all, a fantastic "heel" from the WWE. Conflict sells. Vanilla doesnt. that is all, really, Dana White cares about. And he should. Because if the PPV buys are not up to par, the viewership isnt where it could be and the sponsors are not paying big enough, the fighters dont make as much as they could either. so every fighter in the UFC actually benefits from Lesnar's antics.

Shynloco: are you kidding me? removed the Busches and Montoya from NASCAR and you have a fancy british tea party with everyone being so nice to each otehr all the time. How boring. Without them doing their first to worst and worst to first swings each week, all we would ahve is vanilla johnson and "i'm the greatest driver ever (to consistently come in outside the top 10)" earnhardt jr.
At least Danica is good for some fireworks at an Indy race, and the Busches are good for some at NASCAR.

All this talk about big 3 this, bnig three that, well, cars.com posted a list of the 10 cars most manufactured in the US. 5 out of the 10 were foreign cars. 4 Toyotas and 1 Honda. There were no chryslers on the list.

The Camry is apparently the "most American" car in the country.

The foreign car is now the American car. Kia just opened a new factory in Georgia. Volvo is scouting new sites for their first American factory. For every 2 of the Big Three plants that close, one foreign auto maker opens a new plant. I for one would welcome Honda into NASCAR, or Nissan, or any automaker which builds its cars here. The Toyota is now as american as apple pie. Losing them would be more devastating than losing Chrysler to our economy.
