Posted Wednesday December 19, 2012, About: Josh Brent no longer welcomed on Cowboys sideline
Two old friends went out drinking like countless times before. Either one could have been driving and either one could be dead.
The death that occurred was accidental. No one feels worse about it than Brent. And none of you can justify kicking him while he is down. This really needn't be decided in the court of public opinion.
Sanctimonious is the right word for your posture.

Nope that would be Obama.

Silly boy! All by your lonesome you provide proof that the feeble minded don't like Obama.

I find Tebow terrifying because he has so much Third Reich potential. Michigan has been stripped of democracy and other states are trying. There's trouble brewing that goes way beyond sports.

Dear Mr. Polo Punk,
The meek shall inherit what's left of the earth. We are not feeling good about our share.

Fox news and NY Post owned but the same nut bar

Wall Street Journal and lots more too. All major media are owned by a handful of enormous corporations whose best interests are served by right wing politics. These comprise the "liberal media".

Can anyone tell me why they promote religion in the form of Tim Tebow?
Posted Saturday April 07, 2012, About: Tebow to draw 30,000 for Texas Easter sermon
Whenever I see a heavy promotional effort such as the one being expended on Tim Tebow, I hear Joni Mitchell singing about Star making machinery.

And, please, this Tebow push does not make me feel guilty - it makes me scared because of the totalitarian intent of all high profile western religions.

For my part I am an unapologetic agnostic. In fact, we are all agnostic - too bad so few of us are sophisticated enough to realize as much.

This whole Tebow thing smacks of carefully orchestrated media conflation akin to that which was generated about another shallow nobody - Sarah Palin.

How about Kellen Moore to back up Manning? He might be a southpaw Drew Brees.

Please reread my post. I suggested trading Tebow to Miami for Marshall because Marshall and Orton were a dangerous combo in 2009. Go ahead and disagree if you like but please take the time to read and understand before you jump me.

Denver may be out of the Suck for Luck Derby - they have a win. They might be smart to trade Tebow for Brandon Marshall. He was a stud in Denver catching balls from Orton.

Maybe Elway wants a Stanford man like himself as starting QB.

Starting BQ 16? times this season is a sure way to get Andrew Luck in next years draft. Meanwhile, he might get a second first round pick for Orton. I'm not sure what that would mean for St.Tim.
Posted Saturday May 07, 2011, About: Report: Cardinals ask Broncos about Orton
Romo is more photogenic, has a much greater celebrity consciousness and plays for a more publicized team. By all accounts, he is a better golfer too. As a QB however, I fail to see anything to recommend him.
Posted Saturday May 07, 2011, About: Report: Cardinals ask Broncos about Orton
I don't have numbers in front of me but I know that, despite having psycho Marshall as a primary receiver, McDaniels as a coach, nobody as a running back, and a fan base screaming for Tebow, he rang up a hell of a lot of offense for Denver. If they hadn't had the worst defense in the league, Orton's stock might be very high right now and the Broncos would not have picked second overall.

What does Kyle Orton need to do to get some recognition. Hell, he's much better than Romo.
Posted Saturday March 26, 2011, About: Elway would have kept Cutler in Denver
I would have left Josh McDaniels in N.E.

Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda ......................

Like the man said -- they need defense. They scored enough points to win 10 games if the D was average or better.
Posted Sunday March 06, 2011, About: Source: Vikings considered trading for Orton
Why do so many assume that Kolb is better than Orton? I haven't seen anything to support that belief.
Palmer was a serious QB but it's hard to say what's left after so many years of going to waste in Cincy.

It would be nice if the NFL was more about football and less about money. I like the Green Bay model. It would be great if all the teams were socialist enterprises like the Packers.

Just how close does he think he got in San Francisco?

I'm done with the NFL. The refs have too much influence over the outcome of games. It's almost as if the league instructs them as to who to favor.
Posted Monday January 10, 2011, About: Wayne fumes after 'irrelevant' Saturday
Rex Ryan was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple. The guy behaves like an overprivileged, insecure frat boy. He's mostly mouth. His super team barely beat the lowly Broncos this year and needed the refs help to pull it off.

Manning had the game won if Caldwell had been bright enough to squib kick and them blitz the hell out of Sanchez three or four times. The Jets would never have gotten close enough for Folk to come on the field due to running out of time.

In a well officiated game, the Jets will always be underdogs. I don't see cheating as a skill. If refs allow mugging of receivers, Jets have a chance, a small one.
Posted Sunday January 09, 2011, About: Elway: Broncos won't trade Tebow
Orton is in his prime. Hasselbeck and McNabb are both over the hill. Carolina already has a young prospect - do they need another one? - or a veteran who can play well while the young guy learns? Jags might find that Orton is an upgrade. Likewise Cowboys and Cardinals. Maybe Seattle. Maybe Buffalo.
He's got to be better than almost any rookie.
Posted Sunday January 09, 2011, About: Elway: Broncos won't trade Tebow
The Broncos scored more points in 2010 than the Chicago Bears. The Bears just happened to give up about 200 fewer points than the Broncos woeful defense.

My point here is simply that, given a better than average defense, Tebow might well succeed wildly. It's really too early to write him off. Right now he looks as good as Eli Manning or Tony Romo. The potential in his legs should help to keep pass defenses honest.

Where would you place Orton among NFL QBs? I think he's better than half of them. Look at the stats he ran up with a very mediocre receiving corp and a gimp running game.

Coach is the real concern. Proven coaches will probably not want to have to answer to Elway. Does he have the savvy to hire a quality newcomer?
Posted Saturday January 08, 2011, About: Broncos add Fox to candidate list
Elway was the comeback king because of Reeves habit of building a lead and then unsuccessfully protecting it. When the protection policy failed, Elway was sometimes able to bail them out.

Phillips was just a filler. Shanahan got lucky with Alex Gibbs and Terrell Davis. Look at him now.

I'm just saying that Elway already is emitting a Matt Millen vibe.

And I am a Bronco fan. I went to their first Super Bowl with the Orange Crush and Red Miller on the team plane, although I actually flew on the second trip with the wives and girlfriends, brothers and cousins. Sat next to Foley's girlfriend. The Superdome was new then. The next day the Denver papers sarcastically proclaimed that Craig Morton had finally won a Super Bowl for Dallas.
