Ms. G's Comments

As a fan, and part of the community I can agree with this. I get tired of hearing how we are being this that or whatever. Yes, it sucks. But what is more important is how to learn and teach from this. And how to help the survivors heal, if even possible. Are the players being punished for something they didn't do? Yes. But they aren't exactly "hard up", as you point out. They will still get to live their lives, unscathed. I don't feel punished. Sucks for some of the players, yes. But it is what it is.
Dude, I'm far from stupid. And I know this. SO you can keep acting like you're the almighty whatever on a message board all you want. I am well aware of what our "culture" has done. But sorry, PSU is a good school, as many lawyers, businessmen, teachers, doctors...blah blah whatever can tell you. You can throw it all on Joe all you want, doesn't bother me. But the community is doing something about what went down now that we know it happened. I'm not ashamed of the school or Pennsylvania. I'm ashamed of the men who hid this. And the man who did it. You keep saying everyone. You act like everyone knew. I didn't. I was there, and didn't know. None of my friends did. None of my friends and family who were athletes did.
And, yes. Some idiots riot and still defend that stupid man. But the majority, do not. SO you can sit here and act like you're the authority on all that is right and great, but what are YOU doing about this? What have you been doing to help prevent child abuse?
Just curious because you have the answers.
Who are YOU to say we don't care that children were raped? Where's your proof on that?
Right now everyone is trying to do something. The SCHOOL did not hide it. Stop being so dramatic to make yourself sound better.
You talk about the We are Penn State thing. Do you have any idea where it comes from? Look it up. There is more to that school that football. Bigger than this scandal. And the school has stepped up tremendously since this scandal and beyond. More than any other sports thing or entity accused of this has. When we say WE ARE PSU, we are referring to a community that is like a family. Yes, it did perpetuate this culture that put football up there, but to us at Happy Valley, there was more that that. THE MEDIA helped create this circus. Just like they said we need to now focus on academics. OH, hello. Many, MANY people went to PSU, MORE THAN ATHLETES, and have graduated and gone on to amazing jobs. You all think you know because you read the papers or whatever. You don't know. Who cares about Paterno. I couldn't care less. Neither can the majority of the school and alums. You can all sit here and shake your fist and say whatever. But what have YOU done about child sex abuse awareness and prevention? I've done plenty for many years, and this year will be twice as much. So before you sit here and act like you're the almight judge of all, do something about the problem.
No. It's not a load of crap. Many PSU graduates have been hired because of their grades and degrees that have NOTHING to do with football. Most businesses and law schools couldn't care less if you played football.
Penn State did not do this, a few men did.

I'll give him army navy as number one...but tOSU and TSUN number 4???? Oh no.
Medals are nice. But it doesn't make you the best Olympian. Just a great and most decorated one. There's still that one race that I don't think he won. There's also that other athlete that is faster than him, so....
Um, yea okay.

That's a good point. I do read the arguments. I may have stated myself poorly, lol, but I do read the arguments. :) Good luck to both of you.

It does matter. For me to disagree with you, I had to read what you said and form an opinion. So it does matter. Don't get frustrated. It's not that big of a deal.

People get so mad when they aren't voted for. SO funny........ left said they aren't comparable. That's pretty much my point. But hey, it's just an FN TD. Take it as hard as you want.

Yes. When you are trying to talk about GOAT arguments. Which is essentially what Scottie was talking about. Comparing players is one thing. Trying to agree or disagree with Pip's comments of LBJ being the goat, well, yes. That's a goat argument. and in BOTH of these arguments there was mention of GOAT. Maybe not in those words, but yea, it was there.

But, whatever.

VOting left because I'm so sick of GOAT arguments when the games they play are completely different. To compare players the rules, the game and the environment has to be the same. It's not. LBJ can be the best of the most recent NBA era, but MJ was the best of his.
If you really want to get a GOAT argument, let's compare Larry Bird with Magic, Dr. J, etc.

You can all think LBJ is better than MJ. But I don't see the comparison, stats or not. The game has changed too much.

How is it that Tom Brady gets all the credit for wins, but no blame for the losses? Also, it's easy to break records when you can't be touched.

Inaccurate is more on the lines I was thinking....point still made. But I think Brady is a sissy la la anyway.
