Actually Redman still might not make this team. Tomlin has called him out on his special teams play and Summers is beating him in that regard, as well as blocking as a fullback. So, there is a chance Summers makes the squad over Redman and I highly doubt the Steelers will keep five running backs around.

But I will add... thanks for the congrats.

It has nothing to do with the time the two teams have been around. Those were stats given purely within the time frame of this rivalry. Plus, it's not like they were an expansion team, they were a team that re-located.

Obviously that was me being sarcastic, but you didn't (couldn't?) catch it. And I guess you don't care to comment on the rest of the post... about how the Steelers are 18-10, 11-4 at home, 7-6 at Baltimore, 2-0 in the playoffs, and have FOUR sweeps to the Ravens' ONE. Plus, two Super Bowls to one... No, we wouldn't want to comment on that now would we?

I just figured you would have something to say... you have something to say about every other comment that is made. I guess maybe when the facts are in front of you all you really can do is shut up.

I'll post it again... wasn't Pittsburgh just rated the top city, or at least in the top three, of cities to live in in the U.S. just a couple years back?

I'm waiting for Kruger to respond to my stat-induced comment...

*** Also, two Super Bowls to one.

I'd rather be a fake Steelers fan than a Ravens fan of any kind. But to clear the air, I am a real fan. You can sit here and say people aren't, as if you know them, but that is fine it's a way to let your frustration out. True, the Steelers did not dominate or "kick the Ravens ass" last season, but the fact is they beat them three times, including the AFC Championship game, and won the Super Bowl. I don't even really know why there is an argument going on here, the games are always close games that are instant classics, but the fact remains that the Steelers end up winning these close games and lead the series 18-10 (27-13 dating back to Baltimore Colts days), including 2-0 in the playoffs, 11-4 at home, and 7-6 at Baltimore. Not to mention FOUR sweeps to Baltimore's ONE.

When my friends and I did it there was a German band playing and they saw us getting it set up and they started chanting (and playing a song with it) "Shot Ski! Shot Ski! Shot Ski!" and everyone in the whole building was chanting for our shot ski. Haha, it was fun. And yes, the Liter Steins... mmm mmm mmm.

Hoffbrau House! If you are going with friends do a shot ski!

Yea because I would base my judgment on what an SI poster said... Wasn't Pittsburgh rated the top city to live in just a couple years back? If not the top, it was up there, like top 3 or something. Anyways, until the Ravens do something on the field they can wear all the cute t-shirts they want.

Bring Eddie back, he's got the lineup now to bring the cup back to the Burg!

Ovechkin's great, and I'm not going to get in that argument. I didn't even say he is the greatest, I said if he was on your team you would be saying he is. But I guess you don't watch Crosby play because he may not ay viscous checks, but just watch opposing players try to knock him off his skates... also ask Andrew Ference how tough Crosby is.

Ovechkin sure can take a hit though (see: Malkin destroying Ovechkin)

I find it funny that people are still whining about Sid whining. And I find it even funnier that if their team had won the lottery that year and drafted Sid, they would be saying he is the greatest player in the game today and would defend his every move.
Posted Saturday March 15, 2008, About: Laraque upsets Buffalo coach
This is so ridiculous. If Paetsch actually tries to embrace the hit, or lay a hit on Laraque himself, the elbow doesn't even come near his face, but instead he puts on the brakes, which results in his body being lower and leaning in towards Laraque, and an elbow that would normally hit him in his chest or arm (if he tries to lay a hit) ends up hitting him in his face. Laraque didn't even swing his elbow, it's just up. I agree that Laraque should have been more careful with his elbow, but there is no way his intent was to hit Paetsch's face with his elbow. If my intent is to hit someone with an elbow, I'm coming at you with my elbow, not barely hitting it because of the way our bodies ended up coming in to contact. And if Ruff is so upset with the hit, then why didn't he do something about it? Like send someone out there to muck it up with one of the players from the Pens. And the guy was probably concussed from his hit the night before, which doesn't help (speculation on my part).
Posted Friday March 14, 2008, About: Laraque upsets Buffalo coach
Paetsch tries to avoid a hit, and in the process leaves himself vulnerable, and Laraque catches him and a freak accident occurs. Yes, I agree Laraque could and should have been more careful with his elbow, but I don't think it was a dirty hit because I don't think it was his intention to hit the guy with his elbow. Paetsch dodged the hit, left himself vulnerable, and Laraque's elbow got him. If he doesn't get hurt, Laraque doesn't get a major penalty, let alone suspensions. And I read somewhere that Paetsch was concussed before the game even started, but that Ruff played him because he was short on bodies (I realize this could be false).
Posted Sunday February 03, 2008, About: Front-runners for Hossa are...
Sykora and a 2nd rounder for Hossa? Look, I'm a Pens fan, but that would be a really bad trade on the Thrasher's part. There's no way the Thrashers would accept that though. They would definitely want Staal in the package, and probably a first rounder. We are talking about a 100 point world class athlete here. It will take more than Sykora and a 2nd rounder. Personally, I don't want him because I don't want to either have him walk after this season (he'll be a UFA) or pay him what he'll demand ($7 mill+). I say no thanks, we have too many guys to sign to big contracts in the future, and I'd rather keep Staal.
