You have A-rod confused with Kevin Youklis. A-rod used PED's but hasn't had an anger management problem. Youklis is clearly the poster boy for roid-rage.
The reality is 27 year old Vince Young isn't half a s good as a retired 49 year old Steve Young. It would be ridiculous for the Eagles to trade for Steve, why would they bother trading for Vince Young. VY is going to be a journeyman QB somewhere, but I doubt he's ever going to be a quality starter.

I have to agree that with Gardner, Granderson and Swisher plus a couple youngsters the OF is no place for Jeter. With a 29 year old Swisher the Yankees better think of giving him a 3 or 4 year contract.
Yankees have a potential logjam at catcher thet will spill over to DH. With Cervelli, Romine, Montero and Sanchez all ML prospects, the Yankees will probably have to trade two for more talent and keep two. Cervelli is good defensively for a 24 year old and runs well but doesn't have any power. He could be good trade material with Romine as the eventual full time catcher and Montero at catcher/DH and substitute in the OF.
Sanchez might be the best of all. Still, the Yankees are in the enviable position of having a wealth behind the plate.
Jeter is smart enough to understand how he behaves affects his life after baseball. My guess is he signs for realistic money, strengthens his legacy as a yankee and already has a long term plan in place.
