He's been the lone bright star for the Ms for a long time. I've felt bad for him that he couldn't play on a decent team, but he's been a real class act the whole time. I hope he plays for a few more years, just so that he has a chance to play meaningful ball in the fall. It's been the biggest shame that he and Griffey never got to the WS.
Tell me about it. I still haven't figured out from the type of players we have what type of offensive system we want to 'build'. Clipboard Jesus did himself some credit, but we are truly a 'no-name' team. With the exception of Marshawn Lynch, who is a stud, I really don't see how we win more than about 4-5 games this year.
Not sure this is a win for my Huskers, but the whole premise of the article is that our young'uns will be wide-eyed by the big stage in Madison.... uh.... nope.
They've played in front of huge crowds (albeit friendly) in Memorial Stadium. This is a non-factor. Wisconsin's offense and our suddenly suspect defense is what worries me.
I never heard this one....Lord knows we needed him. TJ is a disaster, which we all knew before the deal to bring him to Seattle. I have absolutely no idea what Pete Carrol is doing, nor does he, it seems.
I don't think he is. I think Pete would bring him back in a heartbeat and I expect the SeaSquawks to make a serious run at him. He loves Seattle and really doesn't want to go anywhere else.
Not a fan of Watson's use of ANY of the weapons we've had at NU since Bo's taken over. Just glad Beck seems much more willing to adhere to Tom Osborne's mentality of 'we're coming straight at you, stop us if you can.' That used to wear teams down in the 80s and 90s and I think we have the horses now to do the same type of thing. Excited to see what Beck brings to the table with Rex and Taylor Martinez.
Oh yeah. My boy Rex is the real deal. Loved watching him run the wildcat in the 2009 Holiday Bowl. He's our stud RB, but we have several other kids that can pound the rock too. Just worried that Rex gets hurt early in the year and then, uh oh!
there's some mileage left on those tires. He's been to the Super Bowl, so obviously a good O-line and RB would be his two best friends. He's done as far as his time with the SeaHawks are concerned, but he wouldn't be the first experienced veteran quarterback to move to another team and have success ala Kurt Warner.

I'm sure he'll be the first contract they attend to when the new league year starts.
