Those were the best Cardinal teams ever. Of all of Bidwill's many, many mistakes, probably the worst was running Coryell out of town.

Pretty good list, MF.

Totally agree. I think the 18 game schedule is a horrible idea. The NFL has the perect seaon timelne and the right amount of playoff teams and playoff timeframe. The NHL and NBA are totally messed up with playoff seasons that last for 10-12 weeks.

I wish they' stop trying to fix what isn't broke.

It's great to see the player development that has taken place throughout the organization, isn't it? For all the good things that happened during the Jocketty years, player development was not one of them. Those core early 2000's Cardinal teams were made up almost entirely of guys acquired by trade, with Pujols being the only exception.

Nice to see how bright the future looks with that Memphis roster.

Yeah, I get that a lot of other towns have felt that pain, too. I don't know.....they just might.

Yeah, I had that thought actually! I'd probably include the Celtics on that list too

Great blog.......good reading.

Kyle has been good at times for the Cards over the last five years, but not great. He's a decent #4 starter at his best, but the Cards have too many young, cheap arms in their system to even think about bringing Lohse back into the fold.

LIHI, that was one ugly game. I feel for you.....

Pretty good point......I also think Denver is too low on this list.

Go ARIZONA CARDINALS 3-0!!! (not something I get to say very often)

Yeah me too. I played in high school.

I don't know if it is my top pick, but I definitely want to go to Wimbledon once and see Centre Court.

I'd also like to go to a World Series game. I've been to several Cardinal playoff games, but never had the good fortune to go to a World Series game.

Eleven Rings.

A minimal amount of IT time should fix the primary issues with the site.
Posted Monday June 04, 2012, About: Reason #59 why Fannation blows
I agree with you, man. I don't understand why they focus on minor things, but can't fix the major issues with the site. I wouldn't take much IT time to fix the handful of major issues that plague this site.

Posted Wednesday December 14, 2011, About: Albert Pujols to the Angels
Good blog, and here is this Card fan's perspective: I obviously wanted him to stay, and would have loved to see him retire as a Cardinal. That being said, I'm glad the Cardinals didn't extend out to that length and dollar amount of a contract. He's simply unlikely in my opinion to be worth that contract in the last 5 years or so.

I don't begrudge Albert going for the most cash he could get. I find the victim card that he is playing a little annoying, but I don't have hatred or animosity toward AP. I wish it would have worked out in St Louis, but it didn't, so move on. Pujols gave the Cardinals a ton of great years and memories, and it has been a privilege to watch him play every day. He's also done a ton of charity work in St. Louis and been a great part of the community, not to mention that he helped bring couple of championships to town.

I'm pretty pumped about Hitchcock being here. I was at the game Saturday night against the Lightning, and the Blues worked as hard for 60 minutes as I have seen in a long time. Maybe it's just the new coach honeymoon kind of thing, but so far the results are promising.

Elliot got the SO on Saturday, but Halak is starting to look better lately too.
