I still don't agree with the suspension, but it was wise to drop it with the Reds series coming up. If they had ruled Wednesday or Thursday, Yadi might have had to miss a game in Cincinnati.
I believe he is making a re-hab start at AA tomorrow, so hopefully that is a good sign, but I agree with you about the innings. They need Jake to be healthy.
It'll be interesting to see if Lyons or Wacha stays up once Westbrook comes back.
This team is rolling along with replacement starter after replacement starter. Wacha looks like the absolute real deal, even if he ideally wouldn't be in St. Louis quite yet.
Like I said before, imagine how good this team could be if Holliday started hitting.
Losing in San Diego last night was bad enough, but it's made worse that we lost to freaking Jason Marquis. That guy was maybe my least favorite Cardinal of all time.
Yep, the starting pitching has been excellent all year. Shelby looks like a future ace.
The hitting hasn't even clicked yet, in my opinion, which makes the 25-13 record even brighter. With the arms this teams has on the pitching staff, how good could this team be if the hitters all got on a roll at the same time?
Man this starting rotation has been excellent. Only a couple of bad starts all year. I hope they can continue to be this strong all year.
Did anyone see Holliday turn a base hit into a triple for Jay Bruce yesterday? Love Holliday's bat, but he scares me out there in left field sometimes.
Still not much offense, but we needed that W last night. Great to see Holliday step up with a big 2 run home run to win it.
Jaime was simply excellent last night. He was a question mark somewhat coming into the season, but with the exception of his start in Philly, he's been fantastic all year.

Well, if it is in fact a two team race, I'm happy to get 2 of 3 from them. Nice rebound in games 2 and 3 from that debacle in Game #1 on Monday.
It's going to be tough to keep Adams out of the lineup if he keeps hitting anywhere close to this level. It's a good problem to have, but you want the bats of Craig, Adams and Beltran in the lineup, but there is only room for two of them.
Great performance by Jake Westbrook yesterday against a very good Cincinnati lineup.
I think there is no doubt it is a two team race. The Crew should be decent, but I don't think they can stay with the Reds and Cards over the long haul..
Hadn't heard that about McCarver. Man, he's been around a long time. A lot of people rip on his broadcasting, but I have always liked him and Buck together.
