bleh, who cares. At this point, the damage has been done. Whatever wins they get here, the NBA will make up for with a suspiciously rigged lottery in favor of my lakers. And no, the draft isn't just rigged cuz my lakers are going to get it this year... it's been rigged for quite a long time.

It really doesn't matter where they place my lakers in the lottery... Commish Silver and the NBA will find a way to make sure they are given a top 2-3 pick.
Posted Monday April 14, 2014, About: Stoudemire: Knicks can be the NBA's best
This is why the NBA needs a stricter drug policy. Stoud has lost his mind. They can't even be the best in their division.
Posted Thursday April 10, 2014, About: Duke star Parker arranging sophomore housing
I just want to say I think Parker staying is the best thing he can do for his career. There is hardly a coach in the NBA better than Coach K. He will learn under K, and together with Okafor, win a national championship and go number 1-2 together back to back. Okafor and Parker are childhood best friends and have dreamed of playing together their whole lives. This is their chance, why must so many people bash the kid for it? Assuming he doesn't get injured, he will still be a top 1-3 pick next year too.

Now that I've said that, I'm going to back away slowly and run because I don't think we are discussing sports anymore...

No one will miss you in lakerland Mike. I'll admit, NO ONE, could win with this laker roster... but he still ran kobe into the ground last year, failed to adapt, and as a result ran howard off too. Mike's gotta go, he was never the right fit.

Sounds like big baby is really earning that nickname

He's a company man. He also supported brown. He supports whoever is there

This is a no brainer.... Fire him yesterday. This is a classic case of addition by subtraction. I don't care who's the coach, hell id rather have no coach than dumbtoni. Seriously , random fans selected pre game could coach a better game than he can. Random plays put into Chinese fortune cookies and busted during timeouts would luck into being a better coach than d'antoni. The sooner he's gone, the better and I hope he doesn't get another nba job with his egomaniacal self

The real reason is that his best friend is that great center Okafor who's coming to Duke next year (next year's number 1 prospect) and he wants to play with his best friend and win a ring together. I don't know if he will come back, but the rumor has been all year that he wanted to return and play with Okafor

Yea. I mean, i want Love in LA and i do think it's inevitable he lands with my lakers. If they can pull it off via trade... i'll be happy. I'd be happier hanging onto the pick and landing him next summer in free agency, but beggars can't be choosers and my team needs all the help they can get.

Personally though, i'd be willing to patiently wait another year and keep the pick, develop him, and get Love next summer. As much as Love will help the lakers, we need all the help we can get and the high draft pick + Love is the way to go IMO. Just requires another year of patience... something we laker fans aren't good at.

It's very quietly going to turn into a combination of the Melo and Lebron saga. I say Melo because it's clear Love will dictate who he's traded to since he won't sign an extension with anyone that's not the lakers more than likely, thus controlling his fate. And i compare to lebron because CLE lost LBJ for nothing, and MIN could very well be in that boat. A top 3 pick is a whole lot better than letting him walk for nothing. They are going to lose him by next summer to the lakers, that's all but inevitable now, it's just a matter of what they are willing to take for him or if they'll let pride blind them to the point they turn down the pick.

Hopefully, i do hope they turn it down because i want the top 3 pick we are going to get (maybe) and love to come next summer. Why not keep both?

Howard was a selfish player who didn't really want to be in LA since he isn't the center of the universe in Los Angelos like he is in his own mind. Love is a LA kid, born and raised and his dream team is the lakers. He is going to land with the lakers, with or without a trade, in the next 14 months so they'd be wise to take the draft pick while it's on the table since they are guaranteed to lose love to the lakers next summer anyway. May as well get a lottery pick in the best draft class since '03, or risk losing love for nothing.

I'd keep the draft pick, and tell lovoe to come next summer but if they can pull it off... do it.

Make it happen. Love wants to be a laker and one way or another, two seasons from now he will be a laker.

Yup, we'll be back. Who would you want us to draft in the NBA draft if we have a top 1-2 pick?

Get HBO go SD. It's free if you have HBO on your cable. If not, borrow it from a friend (HBO does not care at all if you share your HBO go). It has everything it's ever aired except the very old stuff like Tales from the Crypt and Arli$$.

The Soprano's and the Wire are where you need to end TV since you will never top them. Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Rome, and Deadwood were/are all amazing shows as well. HBO is on a whole other level than any other channel for the last 15 years. They alone are responsible for this golden age of television

You may be shocked to discover I can troll with the best of them. Not much when i can say though when my team is the laughing stock of the NBA
Posted Monday March 24, 2014, About: Bryant: 'We need to figure this thing out'
You should SD, you'd really enjoy it. We don't agree on here all the time, but I know you're a smart guy. It's a hard punching show though, and very deep on many levels. HBO's finest, along with the soprano's.
Posted Monday March 24, 2014, About: Bryant: 'We need to figure this thing out'
That's ridiculous. The Wire is one of the two best shows of all time, along with The Soprano's. The Wire is the most realistic and raw TV show to ever air. Each season showing a different part of the picture. S2 is no doubt it's slowest season, but it does pay off big in the end. It's a very deep, thought provoking, and intelligent show. Whether it's the decline of the blue collar worker in america, the bias of media, the corruption of politics, or the cold heartlessness of the inner city... the wire never holds any punches back.

Give it another watch, stick with it. Midway through s3 it goes from being a really good show to a really great show, and in s4 it jumps to a level that only the soprano's has reached in terms of great writing.

The Soprano's is the best written and acted show of all time, and The Wire is the deepest and most thought provoking show ever to air.
