Luck is going to the Colts, RGIII going to the Redskins. Time to move on.
Posted Thursday March 29, 2012, About: One option: Coyotes in Quebec by June
I imagine if this happened, the NHL would HAVE to realign. Having Winnipeg in the Southeast is comical and having Quebec play in the Pacific would just be wrong on so many levels.

Posted Friday March 02, 2012, About: Suns afraid to move Nash
Trade him. Get some pieces. Sometimes teams have to go through rebuilding years and a half empty arena to get back on track. He'll be gone next year with an empty arena anyway, so I'm not sure what the Suns are fearing here. Just delaying the inevitable.
Posted Sunday January 29, 2012, About: Rutgers down to five candidates
I'd go with Mario Cristobal, he's done good things for a bad program. I also wouldn't mind Steve Addazio. Not to mention, both could keep up with recruiting in Florida, which Greg Schiano was very good at.
Posted Friday January 27, 2012, About: Mets near record-setting fire sale
Not necessarily. Holliday will be making 17 million in 2015 and 2016, years that Jason Bay is not on the Mets payroll. (though Bay has a vesting option for 2015). Holliday also has a team option for 2017. The Cards could be paying him 54 million when the Mets are paying Bay nothing. And calling Holliday a "safer, smarter bet" is unfair because Holliday wasn't interested in being a Met anyway. They would have had to give him a 100+ million dollar deal, like the Cardinals did. In the end, the financial figures of the Bay deal will hurt a lot less than a Holliday contract would have. I don't want Bay either, but you have to look at it deeper than just production thus far (because finances are sadly the most important part of the Mets right now).

This isn't on Minaya. He made some poor decisions (Luis Castillo extension, Oliver Perez, Jason Bay, among many others) .. but the financial situation with the Mets is all on the Wilpons. It's not going to get any better either. They're broke, lawsuits are being filed left and right against them, it's ugly.

Sell the Team! I speak for all Mets fans here. Please, sell the team!
Posted Friday January 20, 2012, About: Hall's mom: Taylor will wear a helmet
That's a dumb argument. All we're talking about is having them wear a helmet during warm ups. Hardly a "Bland and boring life". It's probably a good idea to take precautions for things like this and things that "might happen", considering players have deadly weapons on their feet. I'm not saying make everyone play in bubble wrap, but putting on a helmet for 15 minutes of warm ups seems to be something that wouldn't change the game too much....
Posted Sunday December 11, 2011, About: Yankees plan to rest Jeter
He claimed that he did roids in Texas because the pressure was so high. And then he stopped when he got to New York because the pressure would be lower? Get your head out of your behind.
Posted Sunday December 11, 2011, About: Yankees plan to rest Jeter
I'm pretty sure Jeter runs the Yankees. He's not sitting if they tell him too. He could bat clean up and pitch if he wanted to.
Posted Saturday November 26, 2011, About: Will Nets re-sign Humphries?
He played great in the second half of last year and I'd like him resigned, but I'm not married to any player on the Nets (No pun intended) other than Brook or D-Will. They're a 25 win team with Kris Humphries, I'm sure they can win 25 without him.
Posted Monday November 21, 2011, About: Rockies see upside in 38-year-old Helton
Debatable that he was juicing. Mostly, he was aided my the hitter's park. Now, he "sucks", because he's 38 and Coors has the humidor. Those numbers wouldn't indicate that he sucks though.
Posted Tuesday November 01, 2011, About: No clear timeline on Best's recovery
Not only has Best had 2 concussions in 3 months, it was the one in college that is most scary. With the amount of concussions that are accumulating, it actually might be best for him to step back and think about the rest of his life.
Posted Tuesday November 01, 2011, About: Fedora should be atop Arizona's search
Maybe Arizona should focus on what coach they're going to hire and not what hat they're going to wear.
Posted Sunday October 09, 2011, About: Gruden in line for Dolphins job
I think he's just waiting for the right spot. If this team lands the number one pick, I think Gruden wants it because that means he gets to work with Andrew Luck (and possibly, destroy his career).
Posted Saturday October 08, 2011, About: Pouliot struggling with Bruins
Are you blaming Boston? That's on Minnesota.
Posted Tuesday September 13, 2011, About: The perfect captain for the times
My second sentence in the previous quote got a little jumbled. I'm sure you can all figure it out though.
Posted Tuesday September 13, 2011, About: The perfect captain for the times
Don't have an answer for you there. I've always liked teams when allow their players to vote. All in all, it doesn't matter too much here. Usually I don't like it when a coach names a new acquisition as the captain at the guy's press conference. In this case though, Callahan has the respect of his teammates, organization, and fan base.
Posted Tuesday September 13, 2011, About: The perfect captain for the times
His teammates would have voted for him. Callahan eventually becoming the Rangers next captain has been the worst kept secret in NYC for about 3 years.
Posted Sunday September 11, 2011, About: Marlins willing to trade for Ozzie
There was talk earlier about trading Mike Stanton for Ozzie (I still don't understand how player-manager trades are possible) .. I wouldn't rule it out with the Marlins front office ineptitude. They're idiots down there in Miami who have no idea how to run a franchise.
