Actually, it's the exact opposite. Most people WERE watching that series, thanks to September 11th, and they remember the Dbacks' thrilling victory as just that -- nothing cheap about it. Fair and square victory by the Diamondbacks, even if it's not in your delusional little dream world. But, go ahead and keep whining about mud. Maybe that'll help you feel better about the Yankees being total losers ever since.

You're doing absolutely nothing to dispel the commonly-held conception that Yankees fans are nothing but bandwagon blowhard idiots. Also, before you respond to this post, may I provide you with a copy of The Elements of Style? Your ridiculous comments are riddled with errors.

Are you intentionally TRYING to be stupid?

Just admit that the Diamondbacks were the much better team that year and that you lost fair and square, instead of whining about the roof being open (which BOTH teams had to deal with, smart guy) and about the Dbacks playing New York, New York. (Last I checked, the Wankees don't own the rights to that song) If you think the entire World Series was determined by one stumble by Mariano Rivera then you're delusional. Watch that inning again. Your defense was TERRIBLE -- and don't forget that Arizona had already won 3 games before that one. Just be a good sport about it -- as it is, you're just coming off as a crybaby.

As for Arizona not winning another title, so long as the Yankees don't either, I'll deal.

It was ABSOLUTELY luck, because there's no such thing as a "clutch hitter". The Yankees were on the verge of losing the WS in 5 games when somehow they got miraculous home runs in the 9th inning.

Another bitter Yankees fan. Suck it!

From Arizona Republic Dbacks beat writer Nick Piecoro:

"The whole affair is sad. The man who was paid $24 million by the Diamondbacks the past two seasons, one of which was mostly spoiled by injury, declined the club???s only request of him in the off-season: a face to face meeting???Separations are never pretty. Luis Gonzalez???s departure taught us that much. This one doesn???t feel much different."

My guess is that Randy will only play hard until he gets W #300. After that, he probably won't give a s***.

Consider the source.

Wow. Dan Dickley writes an article that reflects badly on the Dbacks. Stop the presses.

If it were the Cubs instead of the Dbacks, Bickley would have titled it "Johnson Makes Huge Mistake In Choosing Seattle Over Chicago" or something Cubs-centric to that effect.

Err... you mean Tucson?

Pitched a perfect game with the Dbacks, won a World Series with the Dbacks, won four straight Cy Young awards with the Dbacks and was a World Series co-MVP with the Dbacks.

With Seattle -- pitched more years, won more games. Yawn.

This is idiotic. Even discounting Fitz's 64 yr TD, (which is stupid, seeing as how the deep ball is a big part of the Cards' offense) Warner would have gone 30-42 2 TDs 1 INT 313 yards.

The Steelers' D should also be embarrassed at nearly choking away the largest lead in SB history -- 13 pts.
Posted Monday February 02, 2009, About: Will Warner return to Cardinals?
Um.... when you go around popping off about the Steelers' defense being the reincarnation of the '85 Bears' "46" D, and then give up 410 yards in the Super Bowl, and have to rely on Ben Roethlisberger's arm to save you in the final 2:30, um, yeah.... the Cardinals don't have any reason to hang their tails between their legs.
