Most of you clowns are nuts! Russell has not taken a single snap in the NFL. Al Davis has 31mil on the table and somehow Russell's agents are saying he is worth 40mil. Get real! I bet the other owners are quietly encouraging Al Davis to stand his ground and finally put an end to these rookies holding the NFL hostage after draft day.

Al Davis wants assurances that Russell can perform at the level that is claimed. If Russell signs this contract with no protection for the Raiders he can simply walk away from football and no one can do a thing to him. He can holdout for a better deal next year and the team would have no recourse against him. The Raiders have no hurry to sign him. Let him sit and watch the others play. Should Al decide to let him go back to the draft(which he won't) Russell stands to lose millions and million of dollars. The longer Russell waits the more the cards are in Oakland's hands.

Stand your ground Al Davis.
